RETURN Courtyard Hotel

This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Chengdu. The atmosphere is great, the butler service is attentive, and the breakfast is delicious. There's also a Lawson convenience store right across the street, and it's very close to Chunxi Road. I'll definitely come back next time!

A quiet oasis in the bustling city center. Everything from the butler service to the accommodation, dining, and transportation was incredibly convenient. All the services were thoughtfully executed. I'll definitely be back to enjoy it again!

Good review one: To be honest, the moment I first saw the room we booked, it was truly beyond my expectations. We came directly from Chongqing, arriving in Chengdu around 1 PM. The butler thoughtfully arranged for our rooms to be cleaned in advance, saving us waiting time. I'm a frequent traveler, and staying here definitely ranks among the best. So, overall, this hotel is top-notch. Better than many big brands. Good review two: It was my family member's birthday, and I only asked the butler where to find good food, but the butler went ahead and booked a cake for me and thoughtfully decorated the room. My mother-in-law was especially touched. Now, for what I absolutely couldn't stand, the only negative review I've given a Black Diamond establishment in all these years. I feel compelled to mention it: We booked four rooms, and two of them had an extremely poor experience. The butler didn't explicitly mention this issue beforehand. Downstairs is a popular hotpot restaurant, and as a result, the rooms 'Hongchen' and 'Lezai' constantly smelled of hotpot... The smell was so strong that even someone with a cold couldn't stand it. I originally wanted to check out, especially since there are many high-end chain hotels nearby. However, in the other two rooms, 'Qianchun' and 'Xingyue', this problem wasn't as noticeable. The butler did try to help, using diffusers and even bringing an air purifier... It did have a slight effect. My hanging coats, scarves, and cashmere sweaters all smelled of hotpot... But then again, I find it quite amusing that a large, high-end hotel only has one air purifier. After much consideration, the purifier was placed in my 'Lezai' room. The other room, where the young women were staying, was filled with a strong smell for those two days... It was truly frustrating. So, a friendly reminder to friends booking rooms: If you have sensitive hearing or smell, or have trouble sleeping, absolutely do NOT book these two rooms. The smell is truly unbearable. The butler didn't mention this problem during check-in, and the explanation given was that the smell isn't usually this strong; it might be because of Chinese New Year, with too many people eating hotpot... Sigh, looking at so many guests who booked, not a single one mentioned this issue...

The location is fantastic, right next to Chunxi Road. It's just a few minutes' walk to IFS and Taikoo Li. The room was clean with a strong sense of design, and the attention to detail was impressive – it came equipped with Bvlgari toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, and disposable face towels and bath towels, which made me feel very comfortable and safe using them. The best part was the service: the butler added me on WeChat in advance and was incredibly quick to respond to any questions. Breakfast and afternoon tea could be delivered directly to the room, and they were both exquisite and delicious.

The last hotel I stayed at in Chengdu, and it was a fantastic experience! The butler service was definitely a 10/10; they were incredibly responsive to every request. Breakfast could be delivered to the room, and the room itself was spotless. The disposable bath towels were a really nice touch, and there was a great variety of beverages. The breakfast menu changed daily, which was lovely, and the location is superb – right next to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. Highly recommend!
