Holiday Inn Express CHENGDU WUHOU by IHG

I originally booked a hotel across the street, but when I arrived, I realized it was right next to a hospital. After some discussion, we decided to switch hotels. We then looked for nearby options and chose this hotel. I was initially a bit apprehensive, wondering about the facilities and service given the reasonable price. However, to my surprise, it far exceeded my expectations after checking in. First, the staff saw we were a family traveling together and upgraded us to a family room. The room was nicely decorated, with new and practical facilities, and the bedding was clean and hygienic. Additionally, the hotel's location is excellent, right at the Hongpailou subway station, making it very convenient to get to places like Chunxi Road, Wuhou Shrine, and Shuangliu Airport. In a major tourist city where star-rated hotels often cost several hundred yuan a night, this price is truly remarkable. Thirdly, the hotel breakfast was also good, and they even gave us an extra voucher for free, which was incredibly generous and kind. Finally, a big thank you to the staff who checked us in on the first day and to Xiao Yi, who assisted us during checkout. The service was very thoughtful. Thank you! Convenient for business trips, with easy parking. The air conditioning was strong, and the breakfast was standard, pretty much what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express – nothing special, but not bad either. The front desk staff were very friendly, thumbs up for them.

The hotel facilities are a bit old and not very well-maintained overall, but the room itself is quite spacious, so it didn't feel cramped. The front desk staff's attitude wasn't great; they seemed to be in a bad mood, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't a good experience (we didn't even say a word at the time). It's been a while, but you might be able to check who was working the front desk during my specific check-in time for this reservation.

Had a fantastic New Year's stay here with friends! Xiao Jin did a great job arranging everything. Even though I didn't book through official channels, they saw I was an IHG Platinum member and offered welcome fruits and drinks, plus a room upgrade. So thoughtful!
