Pagoda Design Hotel Chengdu Chunxiroad Taikoo Li

This hotel really nails both design and attention to detail. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by fish and birds. It's about a 10-minute walk to Chunxi Road commercial street. The night view room they chose for me offered a great overlook of the bustling IFS and Taikoo Li area. The room was fully stocked with toiletries, including facial cleanser and even a face mask. Breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommend!

This hotel is literally above Chunxi Road – yes, *above* it! The lobby is on the 30th floor, and all the rooms are between the 30th and 38th floors, offering amazing views of Chunxi Road. It's truly worth it. A big thank you to the front desk lady who helped upgrade us to a room facing Chunxi Road, where we could see the climbing panda. Before, I always looked up at it, but this time I was looking down, haha! The room has a really chic design, not your typical five-star layout. The sofa bed and multi-purpose table are perfect for the younger generation, making it super convenient for gaming on a laptop. The balcony was also a favorite spot; relaxing in the lounge chair and enjoying the Chunxi Road night view was such a unique experience. I have to specifically commend the afternoon tea. The restaurant is next to the lobby and also directly faces the climbing panda. Watching it tirelessly climb while we leisurely enjoyed our afternoon tea, I couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic towards it, hahaha. My original intention for booking a hotel on Chunxi Road was for convenient shopping, but it ended up becoming a 'hotel-cation' where I spent most of my time overlooking and marveling at Chunxi Road. You absolutely deserve this experience!

Beyond my expectations! I stayed for two nights, then extended for another, and they even offered afternoon tea and a late-night snack. They gave my child a thoughtful little gift when we left. Most importantly, the hotel room was huge, the night view was beautiful, and the location was excellent – super convenient for getting around.

This hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst a bustling city. Like most hotels in Chengdu, it's surrounded by amazing food. The hotel is quite new and even has balconies. We were upgraded to a Panda Room, which has a view of the IFS panda climbing the wall. We drove there and were pleased to find that parking was excellent, with three underground levels and even charging stations. It's just a short walk across the street to IFS and Taikoo Li. The only downside is that the street outside is one-way and can get quite congested during the day.

This was my first stay here. The first room I was given had hair all over the toilet and fridge, so I immediately asked for a new room. The second room smelled fresh when I entered, so I checked the bathroom, and sure enough, there was a strange odor coming from the toilet. 😮💨 The desk was also sticky. My child even thought I was being picky, but I specifically mentioned in my reservation that I hoped they would pay attention to hygiene. I understand that when you're traveling, things can't always be perfect, but for a five-star standard, there are certain basics you expect. When I contacted the front desk, they just offered another disinfection. No apologies, no fruit basket, etc. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I just let it go. However, on the third night, I came back very late, got ready for bed, and found a dead insect. Not long after, another unidentified flying insect appeared... I was at my wit's end! I called out, and my child heard me. When I contacted customer service, all they did was apologize and offer another room. Honestly, with the hygiene standards being what they are, changing rooms wouldn't make much difference anyway. I'd already slept there. I just didn't want to cause trouble for anyone. We were on the 30-something floor. Whether they flew in from outside or came through the ventilation system... I just hope you can pay attention to hygiene, and some items definitely need to be updated. The balcony felt unsafe. The floor in the shower was very old and dirty. Good service is great, but if the hardware facilities aren't good, it's still not enjoyable. Please take a look yourselves.

The room amenities are incredibly comprehensive and thoughtful, even including toilet seat sanitizing wipes, face masks, and makeup remover pads... The shower water pressure is also excellent! They deliver breakfast, afternoon tea, and supper daily, which made the kids very happy! We even received a panda plushie after check-out, it was fantastic! 👏

Great location, just a 10-minute walk to Taikoo Li, and surrounded by plenty of food options. Super convenient! **Double Afternoon Tea Buffet:** The afternoon tea was excellent, not just for show. The barista made beautiful latte art, and there was a wide variety of snacks. **Service:** Every staff member was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. **Bedding:** The bedding was very comfortable, especially the pillows, which were just the right height and firmness. I slept incredibly well.
