Beautiful hotel, staff friendly, service good. Food was good.

Visited Rookery as part of a spa weekend and cannot wait to go back. The thing that stood out for me was the faultless service, from the moment we arrived staff (from spa, check in, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, cleaners) could not do enough for us. Spa: spotlessly clean, good quality robes and towels, exceptional afternoon tea. Hotel: luggage had already been taken to our room, great spacious room, turn down service, again spotless. Bar: knowledgable bar man who was very attentive, lovely cosy atmosphere. Restaurant: food was exceptional quality, michelin standard, high attention to detail. Cannot wait to return here...the customer service was one of the best ive experienced recently..credit where it is due!

First class service in beautiful surroundings - this is a fantastic hotel/ restaurant/ gym & spa. The team here cannot do enough for you and the quality of the food is outstanding. Would recommend for a business off site or recreational stay, cannot fault it.

We visited Rookery Hall for Sunday lunch recently and what a fabulous lunch it was! My husband is a difficult one to please when it comes to Sunday lunch and I have to say it was fabulous. We had 2 courses, with us opting for a cheese flan and a salmon starter, both very tasty and then followed by x1 roast beef and x1 roast pork, both were cooked to perfection and and veggies were plentiful. Big shout out to our waitress Collette, lovely lady who kept checking in on us throughout our visit. We will definitely be back!

Rookery Hall was the venue for our son’s wedding and reception on 1 April 2024. In addition we hosted a groom’s dinner there on the eve of the wedding. The bridal party and many of the wedding guests stayed at Rookery Hall for the weekend of the wedding. Liaising with the hotel in the preceding months was straightforward and we found all the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is an imposing building set in beautiful grounds with stunning views. The accommodation is immediately adjoining and is very smart. The food was excellent. Rookery Hall was the perfect setting for a child friendly wedding. Thank you very much.

We wanted to take the opportunity to thank the staff for everything they did for us in organising and holding our wedding at Rookery. The whole process was seamless and, from the time of our first meeting to the wedding day, Rookery Hall listened to us and worked with our wishes. Staff members were superb on the day and many of our guests remarked on how professional but warm the staff were. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rookery Hall as a wedding venue for the incredible job they did for us. Thank you again for everything.

An absolute amazing stay! Came to see my daughter to celebrate a late mother's day and trip away and the staff have been outstanding. From check in with josh to a warm welcome from Helen and sonia at the bar area. We had a amazing afternoon tea where everyone was friendly giving us 5* service. Emilia was incredible giving us special attention. Thank you. The day after we ran into Human Resorces Kelly who gave us a walm welcome and a chat, which was so nice. The evening service was out of this world. Kurt, Joe, hannah, alexis and maddie was so hospitable. They explained every dish and took my daughters dietries into consideration. A little mention to Lauren who was just so cheery and friendly not matter the time of service. We had her for evening and breakfast throughout our stay and there was never not a smile!!! Overall Ellie and Ollie stood out. They both went above and beyond there roles. Ellie was so friendly especially on check out. Ollie was constantly checking in making sure we were enjoying our stay. Couldn't praise him enough, definitely an asset to thr company. Thank you

My wife was given afternoon tea for two for her birthday today. What an absolute brilliant gift. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after, a curtesy glass of champagne. When we were seated the waitress came and checked that we were happy with the food on the menu and had no allergies. Choice of teas, then the sanwiches and warm scones with clotted cream and raspberry or gooseberry ( to die for ) jam. What can I say about the cakes, delicious doesn't do them justice mmmmmm! Robert Cave, the head chef, came to the table to wish Eileen a happy birthday and check that we were enjoying the food. It was exemplary and Robert's salmon, chilli jam and cream cheese sandwiches, brilliant. Cannot recommend this place enough. Superb

Pawtastic, from arrival to departure and everything in between, we had a great time celebrating a late mother’s day. It’s pawtastic as they welcomed Poppy the senior Labrador, who is 15 next month, in the same way they greeted my mother and I. The room was excellent and superior with feature, with arresting views across the grounds to the back of the hotel. There was a complimentary mini bar in the room with an array of, alcoholic, non alcoholic beverages and snacks, including cocktails, which amazingly were replenished daily! Much upgraded bedroom robes made it feel somewhat luxurious along with crisp sheets and fluffy white towels. Service was on point, breakfast each morning was delivered with cheery service from Collete, who would remember that bringing sausages for the dog before any human feeding is critical to Labrador success!!! Both evenings bar and lounge service was provided by Ollie, who again accepted the challenge of how to serve an aging Labrador that is half deaf and with cataract in both eyes so doesn’t see too well, without getting barked at, he knew the plan was to approach slowly and not get in that Labrador personal space, unless providing treats and water! Food was of excellent quality both evenings, my only slight observation was portion size shrinkage from Friday to a Saturday, so either I did well on the Friday and got more for my money or on the Saturday a slight short change, nothing significant, but noticeable nevertheless.
