The hotel itself is pretty great and peaceful but the location is a bit far off from everything. If you plan to just escape from crowds, it's a good place to spend time. Unless you come by your own vehicle. The cafe is under maintenance and the pool is lovely. The receptionist girl is exceptionally good at service and language.

Do not stay here! We arrived to find no staff at reception. After parking, we walked towards where we heard some music and found all the staff sat by the pool. The resort was untidy and very smelly. We decided to forfeit the nonrefundable room booking and drove back to Chiang Rai to another hotel.

Review: Chiang Rai Lake Hill Hotel ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Chiang Rai Lake Hill Hotel offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, but my experience was mixed. I arrived at 6 PM to find both the restaurant and bar closed, which was disappointing with no nearby dining options. The room was clean and comfortable, and the natural surroundings were lovely, but limited services in the evening affected the overall experience. It’s a nice spot for relaxation, but better communication about available amenities would improve the stay.

We booked 4 rooms for a family trip: 3 double rooms and 1 single room. None of the double rooms were satisfactory. Issues included peeling paint on the walls, a very musty-smelling wardrobe, a broken AC remote, and even swarms of ants in the shower. The complimentary soap and shampoo had congealed, so thankfully I had brought my own. The single room, however, was perfectly fine with no problems. Ironically, the hairdryer seemed to be the newest item in the room. I assume this is an older resort that has been operating for a long time and doesn't receive many guests, which explains its current state. Despite these issues, the overall ambiance was very peaceful (aside from the morning intercom announcements, that is =.=). The pool area offered a great view, and they even had several peacocks housed in cages.
