This hotel was a short walk from the train station. The staff were helpful at all times and many spoke English. Our room had an enormous balcony where we could relax to the sounds of the sea and smell honeysuckle. Refrigerator handy and next to a lovely restaurant. Walkable to all areas. Great base to explore Chiavari and other local cities!

Clean, close to the beach, comfortable. It’s a simple 3 star hotel, nothing fancy, but very clean, we had a newly refurbished room, bed was very comfortable. Position is fantastic, a few minutes walk to the beach and Chiavari train station. Breakfast buffet was diverse enough. A kids room full of toys and books. Worth the money!

We absolutely LOVED every moment of our stay here!! The hotel is so cool and soooo clean. Every one was incredibly friendly. The food was AMAZING. We will definitely be staying here in the future and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I just returned from Italy where I was staying at the Hotel Stella del Mare. My brother, sister in-law, niece, nephew and adult son all stayed in the same room. There were 4 adults and 2 children and although it was a little cramped it wasn't bad. I'm not the type to spend much time in the hotel room while on vacation anyway. It was clean, had a full kitchen and a nice balcony. So, if you are the type that likes to cook breakfast and have it out on the balcony you could do so. There is a small local super market in the area along with a bunch of nice restaurants. The hotel has a decent continental breakfast for a decent price each morning. I like to get up and get out of the room fairly early in the morning so I just had the continental breakfast every morning. The pool was nice and they have regular family friendly events at the hotel and around the area. So, it is very kid friendly. Although, the hotel and area are all beautiful and worth high marks on their own, the true value of this hotel is the staff. My son and I took a train to Rome for a couple days during our stay. I had arranged for a drop off and pick up at the train station (NOT through the Hotel). The ride got us to the train station just fine but when we came back they never showed to pick us up. It was about 8pm local time. I called the hotel and explained the situation and even though there aren't any local taxi services she made a bunch of calls and found someone to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. It was completely my mistake for not just making all transportation arrangements through the hotel in the first place but this staff person ( I wish I could give you her name) never complained she just set to task and solved my issue for me. The next time I will just make the travel arrangements through the hotel in the first place.

Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, beach at 200 metres with a variaty of restaurants and bars. Would not hesitate to go here again!

We went back and forth to get the ac working and it turned on at 11pm by midnight they turned it off, i woke up sweating. I didn't fit in the shower as a normal sized person. The toilet's flushing system was unconvinient. The staff was very nice but the biggest issue for me was the AC, that was horrible.

Reception was exceptional, the room was so very comfortable and the facility was very well kept. Breakfast is a must plenty of options to set you off on your travels!!

We stayed here for a week; breakfasts were good, but dinners in no way the same - but the staff are keen to serve and do their best. Room small, but adequate. Right in the middle of town and near the station

We looked for a hotel near Portofino that was affordable and had good reviews. We stayed in the Stella Del Mare hotel for two nights. The hotel was clean. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. The hotel is located one block from the boardwalk and the beach. There are plenty of good restaurants to choose from on the boardwalk. We enjoyed Chiviari and the hotel very much

Exellent service and tips from the staff. Both for activities in cinque terre and Genova. Spot on advice in terms of restaurant tips walking paths and train scedules etc. Very clean and nice overall impression of the hotel. Would come back any time.

We loved the neighborhood. Room was small but adequate. Nice linens, updated and very pretty bathroom. We would stay again if returning.

Fantastic stay. Room very spacious. Fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks. Wi-fi super fast. Bathroom large with brilliant shower. Separate dressing room with storage for all luggage and clothes. 10 minutes walk from train station. 10 minutes walk from main shopping area, just a little further to sightseeing attractions. Very good price for this 4* city hotel. Highly recommend a stay here. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
