La Casa de las Lunas

The place was perfect; Friendly and professional.The rooms are back from the street,so there is minimal traffic noise in the guest areas.They let me extend my checkout too!....................................................................

With only 1,5 kn away from Chitzen Itza this is the place to be. It is clean, basic but with a decent shower, good bed and sheets, airco and fan. There are about 13 rooms, all ground floor situated around a pool. During the night the gate is closed so it is quite safe. A pool with two sections for cooling down. To the left of the hotel is a big supermarket so you can get everything you want and need. Officially there is no breakfast but next to room 5 they put coffee and tea wit home made cakes. All free and part of the service. Oh , when you arrive you can just pull up to the front, you can parc there. When you are checked in they tell you to drive to the back door where there is a big gate where you can put your car behind. From there you can see your hotel room. That’s ideal. We paid 50 us dollar which is really worth it. I would have paid 80 easy for this.

While vacationing in Cancun my wife and I decided to go see the Chichen Temple. We wanted to arrive early for the tour refreshed so we drove into town without a reservation the night before. However these were last minute plans and we decided to wing it without a reservation. When we arrived into town we asked a policeman for his recommendation for a room. He said the Casa Luna would be a nice place to go. That would turn out to an excellent suggestion. We just wanted a clean room , comfortable bed with clean sheets and towels. This place really exceeded our expectations! The front desk was nice and helpful. The room was clean with big white soft towels, newer clean sheets and pillow cases ( no smells). We felt like we were actually guest and not a customer. And the price was excellent! Also, it was a very secure place. We slept well and were the first in line at 7:30 to receive our tickets at the park and had a wonderful time touring about the temple site.

the owners were very friendly and spoke good english. The room was large , comfortable and quiet. Free coffee and cake in the morning was a nice touch . Secure gated off road parking next to the rooms. Nice small pool . Only 10 mins from the entry to Chichen Itza so ideal base to get there for opening then check out after visit. Budget price but did not feel like a budget hotel !

Hidden gem close to Chichen Itza. Super quiet and private. Gated off street parking, picturesque pool, huge comfy bed, hot water with good pressure. Very nice staff. Rooms and courtyard very clean. Wished we had booked 2 nights instead of one!
