Our stay at Taj Gateway Chikmagalur was truly memorable. The property’s serene surroundings, lush greenery, and peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. The hospitality stood out the most—every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring a comfortable experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the food; the dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to the restaurant staff for their excellent service. The resort’s location near coffee estates and scenic viewpoints added to the charm, and we appreciated the prompt assistance with travel arrangements and local recommendations. Shadab, GM of the property left no stone unturned in our best of the service ***** with his Department Heads, Sudheesh ( for amazing coordinations as one point of contact), Lokesh ( we will never forget our trekking with you, keep your adventures alive ),Ram Kishore ( attention to the table). A very special mention of Chef Akhil is important as he was "tremendously exceptional" in his duties in terms of our food preferences and special requests ( he should smile more 😀), Karthik (very attentive and know his work) ,Kaushik, Rana and Dikshant from Service team, Pradeep,Paramesh and Manu from HK, ever smiling and attentive Chandrika from FO are must to be mentioned names in making our stay a memorable one. I can write a lot more but saving for the future. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would happily return. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay pleasant and memorable.

Our stay at The Gateway Chikmagalur was nothing short of wonderful. We’ve stayed at many Taj hotels and other elite chains, but the hospitality and personal care here truly stood out. We were travelling with our parents and family, and the staff made sure every detail was taken care of - we never had to call for anything. The housekeeping team under Mr. Lokesh deserves a special mention — always polite, prompt, and attentive, whether it was handling a broken glass late at night or serving early morning tea with a smile. Mr. Sudeesh’s guidance on local visits made our trip even more memorable his suggestions helped us explore Chikmagalur beyond the usual tourist trail. A big appreciation to the culinary team as well. We stayed for three nights, had all our meals at the hotel, and yet never felt the food was repetitive. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The special bonfire dinner on our last evening was the perfect finale to a perfect stay. Finally, kudos to Mr. Shabad, the manager, who was ever-present, engaging personally with guests, taking feedback, and ensuring everyone was well looked after. We’re wholeheartedly recommending The Gateway Chikmagalur for its stunning location, serene ambience, and above all, its unmatched warmth and hospitality.

I travelled to Gateway Chikmagalur during the Deepavali weekend. As we reached, we were greeted by a good-tasting welcome drink. The check-in experience was smooth. We stayed in a cottage room and it accommodated my family of 4 adults. The magic show in the evening was good. During dinner, they accommodated the request for a complimentary paneer tikka. However, the number and choice of starters and desserts for vegetarians could be enhanced. During the time of check-out, there was a minor issue which was handled very well. The valet team also cleaned by car which was good. Overall a pleasant stay.
