Our third visit to Camvillia and once again an amazing holiday. We stayed in a villa room with a private pool which was AMAZING! The room was fresh, spotless and perfect for us. The housekeeping team are first class, servicing the room every day. As well as the great facilities and amazing location, it’s the team that make the holiday. They are ALL wonderful, really taking care of us and making us feel like part of the Camvillia family when we visit. We can’t wait to return!

I recently stayed at Camvillia Resort & Spa. Attached are some pictures of our spacious room, lovely sea view, me swimming in the gorgeous pool. Also, a copy of one of our room bills that shows details of the 15-euro daily tax paid to reception. Perhaps, Υπεύθυνος, which is Greek for a “Responsible” Management Representative should check his facts, before advising that my husband and myself haven’t stayed in resort.

We spent 10 lovely days basking in the sunshine, staying at the Camvillia Resort. There is a lot to like but sadly some things which were baffling (to us and every guest we spoke to). The location is ideal. Set above the sea, the views are beautiful. There are 2 tavernas within a 5 minute walk, the beach is a 5 minute shuttle away driven by the fantastic Jerry (think Tom Conti). Its 15 euros in a taxi to Koroni which is very pretty with some nice little shops and plenty of eateries. The Hotel. Well the buildings and pool area are fantastic. Our room (entry level) luckily had the best sea view of all of the rooms, sit on the balcony and watch the sun come up. The Spa appears to have been mothballed – pool drained, no facilities available – we tried to arrange 200 euro treatments but were told no. The Room. The room is spacious, though the layout is strange, bed and desk / drawers / fridge all crammed in one end. You can’t open the draws or fridge without losing a finger though. Plenty of room for empty cases or a dance at the other end. The bathroom…. Well, you are in Greece so don’t expect too much, quite spacious but a rain shower over a very small bath isn’t what you want; the men called it an Okie Cokie shower as you could put one leg in, one leg out, turn around etc etc. Desperately in need of modernisation. Cleanliness. This is a big issue for me. Your bed / bathrooms will be cleaned nicely, fresh towels etc. Your balcony wont even get a sweep. The pool area is tidied up at night but the sunbeds and tables are not wiped down, there was a used ashtray at poolside when we got there and it was still there when we left 10 days later. The food area tables may get a wipe with a cloth but at no time will you see a disinfectant spray. The Food. After having words with the resort owner, the breakfasts were excellent, plenty of choice of meats, cheeses, cooked items, cereal, yoghurt, fruit….. The basic coffee is nothing to write home about. Lunch has plenty of options, hotel prices though – it’s so lovely to get out of the sun and have a lazy lunch enjoying the spectacular views. The evening meals. This a real issue! They try to make Greek food even better than the authentic food everyone else sells. They then charge over double what you pay in a taverna. I thought the meal we had at the hotel was the worst evening meal we had and with wine it was easily over 100 euros. The 2 local tavernas have everything you want and with beers, wine, ouzo would still be unlikely the be more than 50 euros for 2. Obviously, some people book half board, we spoke to plenty who had done this but chose to go out in the evening and pay for their meal. Do not book half board. The beach is perfect, assuming you want a sunbed, golden sand, crystal clear water, gently sloping. From the beach there are 2 tavernas one close and one 20 mins along the beach. The service, food, drinks, views are awesome. You will pay more that the local tavernas but still easily less than at the h

Absolutely loved our stay. Beautifully done, pool is fantastic, they even drive you to the beach & pick you up (takes 3 minutes). Just a beautiful place & the beach is out of this world. Clean clear blue waters. The only thing this place doesn’t have which I’ve seen elsewhere is a little in-house store that could sell local things, as well as women’s accessories, candles that could have their particular scent which I think a lot of travellers would like to take home. The only other thing was the laundry came back washed but not pressed. So you walk around creased, as there are no irons in the room, so you can’t even press your own clothes.

We just returned from a week at cam villa resort the view is spectacular but that’s about it, didn’t start well the coach transfer just dropped us in the middle of the village and we had to find our way the the resort no one came to greet us or help with our luggage, rooms ok and functional, cleaners came daily to change towels that’s about it 10 mins to clean all 4 rooms in our shared pool room, pool lovely and the infinity pool beautiful view was amazing only issue 4 sun loungers for 8 people we asked 4 times for more as the resort was full they never turned up the last time we asked at reception when the beds would arrive she just shrugged her shoulders as if to say they never will so stop asking , 2 of the days we had to rotate time with the other couples and had to sit on the pool edge, not great when you book a private pool to be guaranteed a bed without the usual morning bed charge, breakfast was by far the worst I have experienced anywhere, 2 mornings I gave up trying to get a coffee I asked every member of staff but it never arrived, it’s such a basic thing when you see someone turn up offer them a drink. It’s NOT difficult. And the food was quite frankly poor very little verity , I spent the week having fried egg on toast as that was the only thing I liked Juice cheap and watered down, cereal the cheapest they could buy and was like wet cardboard the minute it saw milk, we didn’t try an evening meal as the feedback from other guests was it was the same as breakfast, thank god for the two local taverns only a few mins walk or else we would of had to go into town €30 return taxi everyday. Local area very isolated but the perfect place if you want to disconnect and relax, local shop in the village had the basics, nothing in resort, and very expensive Such a shame as this place could be paradise with a bit more effort

First of all we will say a huge thank you to the friendly staff. The hotel is more like a 4 star rather than a 5 star. Restaurant is average. Breakfast average. Room ok, poor shower fittings, not the strongest aircon. Not the cleanest of rooms either. The pool is nice,

Thank you for welcoming us so well in this little paradise, Vounaria, Messenia. The place is in a calm little village beside a beautiful church and around the country full of olive trees. We met here people of heart, warm and always ready to serve. The hotel has a magnificent view on the bay, rooms either, so peaceful, with a great swimming pool. The passage to the spa was a real moment of care and relaxation thanks to the expert hands of the professional masseuse. Greetings and thanks to Georgia, Kostas, Andreas, Jerry, the young Adrien, Yanis and all the staff for their implication to give us a very pleasant stay. We do not forget the mother cat and her 4 little ones, so cute and endearing: take care of them🙏😎 of yourselves too and of your beautiful country.
