"The large public bath is amazing! 😊"
Hütte Jil Shirakabako
"I used it this time for the purpose of mountain climbing with a friend. The staff were also very kind! The kitchen, dining area, washroom and shower room were also quite clean and I had a comfortable stay. This time I stayed in a Japanese-style room, but there was a kotatsu, so it was perfect considering I was only going to sleep! I was able to purchase tickets for a nearby hot spring facility (about 5 minutes walk) at a low price at the reception! We hope to stay again next time."
Tateshina Shinyu Onsen
"No special impression"
Tateshina Grand Hotel Takinoyu
"We chose this facility because it had a large kids' area. In fact, our child played in the kids' park until the very last minute, and we were able to let him play plenty inside the facility as well. The hot springs were incredibly clean. The open-air bath overlooking the mountain stream was very relaxing. The rooms were also clean and comfortable."
Tateshina Base
"The facility itself is new, and the room with a private hot spring bath was comfortable. However, the front desk staff were unenthusiastic from the moment we arrived, and for some reason, we kept hearing doors opening and closing repeatedly between 2 and 3 a.m. (presumably the sound of employees coming and going?), which was so noisy that we couldn't sleep. We ate at the attached Italian restaurant, but they forgot our cutlery and made many careless mistakes when we ordered, so I would say the service was not good. The food was delicious, which made it all the more disappointing. I don't think I'll be staying there again."
Resort Hotel Tateshina
"Very satisfied 👍"
Sawaemon
"The location is great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for people who like Japanese food. The dining area is partitioned off like a semi-private room, so you can dine in peace. You can use the open-air bath for free for 40 minutes. There is a sunken kotatsu table in the room."
Guesthouse HOALOHA 4 SEASONS
Hotel Shirakabako Sakaeen
"Very nice hotel, very affordable, clean and hygienic."

Sundance Resort Tateshina
"We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The Japanese-style room had two rooms and was very clean, and the large public bath was excellent! The meals were delicious, and we were also able to gather information about the local area from the staff. We would like to stay here again."
Kimimachisou
"The hot springs were beautiful and the hotel staff were very kind. I would like to come again."
Little Grebe
"The environment is very beautiful, and you can have breakfast facing the lake view. The store owner is friendly. The only thing is that you have to climb stairs to the second floor room, so it is suitable for light luggage."
Yutorelo Tateshina Hotel with Dogs
Sky Park Hotel
"I stayed here for several nights in early September. Tokyo was experiencing scorching hot days, but this hotel, located at an altitude of nearly 1,500m, had a refreshing plateau feel and was comfortable. The room I stayed in was on the Kurumayama side (parking side) of the prominent Kurumayama Plateau, to the right of the front desk, but there were only a few cars belonging to hotel staff parked in the parking lot, and in the mornings, I would occasionally see guests walking their dogs. On a clear day, the radar dome and Kurumayama Terrace at the top of Kurumayama Plateau were clearly visible. In the lobby, Mt. Tateshina could be viewed from the sofa along with Lake Shirakaba. There were many Nepalese staff members among the hotel staff, and they were happy to greet me with "Namaste" when I entered the restaurant."
Yama No Yado Meiji Onsen
"My GF's review: My stay in Meiji Onsen Ryokan was my first stay at a ryokan, and I’ve never felt more welcome at any other hospitality place I’ve been to before, of which there are many. And even after the first day, I am pretty sure it will probably stay this way forever. I am very grateful for your kind welcome and I am amazed at the work that the team of your hotel does at this place. Everything feels natural and beautiful, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and special. People who work here are passionate about their job, and as a passionate person myself I feel energized and happy to see others be so amused about what they do. I will always remember my first stay here and I will compare other ryokans I go to with Meiji Onsen Ryokan, because I feel that it’s the best ryokan in Japan. Thank you so much for this amazing experience. And Okami-chan is the best girl in all of Nagano! When I come back home, I will tell everyone who she is and where she is from - Meiji Onsen Ryokan, Chino, Nagano, Japan! 🇯🇵 (As a fantastic bonus, it’s even allowed to go in with uncovered tattoos! Not every ryokan can match up to that!)"
Guesthouse Kreutzer
"very good,good service,nice view,clean"
Tateshina Tokyu Hotel
"Beautiful"
Yutorelo Tateshina Hotel with Dogs
"I was looking forward to the meal with the French full course extreme upgrade on my first visit! The room is normal, but there was a lot of hair on the floor and the cleaning was not well done, and my wife rented a roll at the front desk to clean it! The food I was looking forward to was the worst and everything was not delicious! Moreover, the scales of the sweet sweetfish are not baked and it smells fishy and cannot be eaten! Desert is a cheap frozen cake ... The dinner on the second day was even worse, and the peperoncino smelled sour and obviously rotten! The staff also confirmed and lowered it to the kitchen, and the chef brought the buffet penne instead of the smell of chili! Poisson is a meval poire, but this is also fishy ... or rotten? If you say that it was not something that was eaten just like putting in a low temperature oven without any trace of baking with scales, it was lowered! I was waiting for it to be remade, but there was no sound! !! I don't know what Poire means! After that my wife broke my stomach, I was transported by emergency abdominal pain ... food poisoning! The manager just apologized and said that he would tell the head office, but after that, he didn't contact anything and the fee was taken normally. This response is the worst with 30,000 per person per night. I just pray that no other victims will come."
SANU 2nd Home Shirakabako 2nd
"The room was clean and smelled of wood, making it a very relaxing place to stay! There were plenty of amenities, and I had a wonderful time. I'm so glad I came!"
Hotel Harvest Tateshina
"This is my second time staying here. The last time was before COVID, so this was my first time in a while, but as soon as I entered the room, there was a strange smell. There was an unfamiliar smell, like some kind of spice, that stank my nose and throat, so I contacted the front desk because this was not good. An employee came immediately, but said that he could not smell anything. In the end, they changed me to a room two rooms away, but it also smelled faintly. When I went to the hot spring and returned to the room, it smelled, and when I came back to the room after eating, it smelled... As a result, only the room was emitting a mysterious smell, which was unpleasant. It didn't seem like anyone else was complaining about the same thing, so I just had to put up with it for one night. I would really like to give it one star, but the service from the young female employee at the restaurant was good, so I'll give it three stars."
