Noel Arms - "A Bespoke Hotel"

Great place. Shower could use some work. Not hot enough and very average water pressure.

Excellent food, service & rooms. Tha Noel Arms is one of the best Cotswoldian hotels, and we look forward to staying there again in 2024.

Pros: Location in the heart of Chipping Campden On-site parking (see Cons) Restaurant is excellent choice for dinner Nice windows in the room Cons: This is an old building with a maze of staircases and hallways and the front desk decidedly does NOT offer help with luggage. On arrival, was told the parking lot had been filled by wedding guests (huh?). Actually parking was available, but didn't see this until I had dealt with luggage several blocks away. Basically, the front desk staff is not helpful, but otherwise it's a good place to stay.

Great location on main street. Breakfast was excellent as was the service our entire stay. Close to all the main towns in the Cotswolds.

It's an old hotel but an interesting place to visit and the morning breakfast was very good and we had one dinner while there and that was good too!

We loved our stay at the Noel Arms! Perfect location and comfort and service. Delicious classic breakfast and in room tea - we LOVED our room! Massive bathroom and it was beautifully renovated. One threadbare chair in the room did not detract- everything else was lovely. Exceeded expectations- and We will return. Kind and available staff!

Overall a good stay. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms, which was nice, however the only issue we had was the location of the room. Due to it being so close to the car park entrance and the drop off point, it was very loud. Also people leaving the bar to go to their rooms meant it was really loud. Having single glazed windows also meant that you could literally hear everything. So whilst it was nice, we didn't really get a great nights sleep. Breakfast on our first day was nice, a long wait but was tasty. However the next day, breakfast was moderately warm to say the least. It was quite disappointing in comparison to our first experience. They also could do with some background music in the breakfast area, it was awkwardly quiet and you could hear a pin drop so you didn't really want to talk too loud for fear of being overheard. The staff at breakfast were polite, however the main host was slightly rude and condescending. Upon arrival we waiting to be seated whilst she walked past us several times to set tables with no acknowledgement. Then persisted to tell us we had not chosen what type of eggs we wanted in a unpleasant manner, I must admit the pre-order breakfast form did not say to choose the type of egg you wanted, just that it was on offer. It felt as though we were inconveniencing her so it wasn't very welcoming. Other than that it was a nice hotel, good location!

poor product in general combined with un interested staff not keen on catching your eye or engaging. Staff shortage issues in Kitchen also meant we had to wait an hour for breakfast even though we had booked a pre-agreed time the night before We decided on second morning to get breakfast elsewhere even though this was included within the rate. In summary we would not recommend and will not be returning.
