Unique,charming and idyllic water experience in the Chobe River. 5 star resort with all the wonderful amenities with the perfect view and wildlife. The food was amazing and the service was beyond expectations. The guides are first class and go above and beyond to give you an experience you will not soon forget. The photos tell it all.

I have mixed feelings about our experience at the lodge. Our time on the Chobe Princesses were absolutely amazing and we were slightly disappointed in the lodge. The staff were absolutely amazing and the experiences offered were first class. However, the lodge itself requires a lot of maintenance and TLC. The management are lucky that the staff are so good as their interaction with guests was totally non existent. Both on arrival, departure and all in between. Food was mediocre and limited. More choice should be given and not just aset menu of one meal. After all this we did enjoy our time with you. Your staff deserve all the credit.

We visited Ichingo Chobe River Lodge for my birthday, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From start to finish, everything was simply perfect. The rooms were extremely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with air conditioning—although we didn’t need it in May, it was still a nice touch. The beds were honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. A special shoutout to our guide, Nicolas—he was outstanding! Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Whether we were out fishing or on a game viewing cruise, he went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well-informed. His knowledge of birds and wildlife was phenomenal. If you're visiting, I highly recommend requesting him! The lodge staff, especially Kennedy and Sonia, were always there with a smile—ready to help, top up a glass, or share a good chat and laugh. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. And Matilda—your food was absolutely delicious! Every meal was a treat, and now that we’re back home, we’re definitely in need of a diet (worth it though!). I would highly recommend Ichingo Chobe River Lodge to everyone. We’re already planning a return trip with family. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a special and memorable getaway!

I loved the quiet setting. Birdwatching from the veranda. (Photographed an African Finfoot!) Fun fishing. The staff was attentive. Good food. The staff cleverly arranged interaction between guests without being intrusive, we made new friends.

What a wonderful hidden oasis this is, on the Chobe River bank (literally). The accommodations are very inviting, well kept and comfortable, and the staff and the food are five star. The wildlife viewing and fishing is top class, go for it and know every comfort is provided for you and you will feel very safe and secure. Did I mention the staff? They are absolutely five star. Better service than the Ritz Carlton hotel in New York!

An unbelievable place to stay, the best guides for all forms of fishing and wildlife spotting with unparalleled service in the lodge. Delicious food, luxury safari tents and a wonderful atmosphere! You will not find a better place to stay on the Chobe river.

My family and I spent three adventorous days at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge and made memories that will last a lifetime! We were touched by how kind the staff were to our children, aged 7 and 12. Nothing was too much trouble for Cassius, our host and Robert, our personal guide. The food was abundant and delicious, the tents were well-equipped and there were lots of activities to choose from. My youngest son caught two tiger fish, thanks to Robert who expertly guided us to the best fishing spots. My eldest child enjoyed visiting the local village, learning about the islanders culture and visiting an ancient Boabab tree. They especially loved watching a Hammerkop bird make it’s nest from the deck of our tent. My wife and I enjoyed spending time with our children, whilst being surrounded by breathtaking scenery on the Chobe river. We combined our stay with a few nights on a Chobe Princess houseboat. It is a holiday we will never forget and can highly recommend for families.

Located on Impalila Island, it is a short boat ride from Immigration. Away from busy Chobe channel, it feels intimate and secluded. Main lodge houses lounge area overlooking the river as well as bar and dining area. Very bright and welcoming. WiFi is available in this area. Accommodation is in simple tents with attached bathrooms. Also has a front deck. Most of our time was spent fishing or in the main lodge. Meals were fantastic. Chefs Edgar and Elliot produced meal after amazing meal. Gluten free options were delicious! We had a great stay at this lodge, even though it was off-season fishing, we caught large tiger fish and nembwe. Felix, our guide, was lovely and knew all the good fishing spots. Game viewing from the water was first rate. Great staff. Will definitely return.
