Mcsrh Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Chaotianmen)

I highly recommend this hotel! First off, the location is fantastic – right in the heart of the city center, near the Raffles City mall, which is super convenient for tourists. As for transportation, it's very accessible with both Metro Lines 1 and 6 nearby; Line 1 is even closer. Compared to similar hotels in the area, the amenities you get for this price are an absolute bargain.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few hundred meters from Chaotianmen Dock. The hotel is on the 11th floor, but the ground-level exit is on the 5th floor – first time I've ever seen a road system like this! The hotel is very clean and I had a very comfortable stay. For this price, the value for money is outstanding. The front desk staff were also very friendly and offered free luggage storage, which was a huge plus! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing.

Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was, complete with a bathtub, projector TV, mini-fridge, and safe. I booked a room with a bathtub, and it featured a lovely one right by the window. At 200 RMB, the value for money was actually quite good. There were a few minor downsides: 1. You have to climb a short flight of stairs to reach the elevator, which can be inconvenient for travelers with large luggage. 2. My biggest complaint is that, since the hotel is located near a wholesale market, I heard persistent and rather loud noises from outside the window, possibly from unloading or construction, between 1 and 2 AM. It was incredibly difficult to fall asleep, and the noise only subsided slightly after 3 AM. This was, without a doubt, the noisiest room I've ever stayed in among hundreds of hotels. 3. I booked a river-view bathtub king room, but the 'river view' was just a small sliver to the left of the room, with residential buildings directly opposite. This meant I had to keep the curtains drawn. For families prioritizing value for money, a room with a bathtub for 200 RMB a night is decent. However, if you're sensitive to noise and happen to stay up past 3 AM, you might be able to manage.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Metro Line 1, making getting around super convenient. The only downsides are that the laundry room closes at 10 PM, and the slippers are a bit small. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.
