The staff were incredibly gentle and thoughtful. The environment is great, and it's super convenient with a subway station right downstairs, avoiding the crowds found at places like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. The facilities are comprehensive, with a large public area that includes a laundry room, drying room, makeup room, bathrooms, board game room, study room, luggage storage area, dining area, bartending area, and even a balcony. The vibe at this place is wonderful, and they have the cutest, most good-natured cats. The food is delicious, and the craft beer is excellent. The only minor drawback was some stains near the showerhead in the bathroom, but it's really not a big deal.

This time I was in Chongqing for a business trip, which happened to coincide with the May Day holiday, so I took the opportunity to explore Chongqing for two days. It was my first solo trip, my first time in Chongqing, and my first time staying in a hostel. During check-in, a staff member showed me around the common areas like the restaurant, activity zone, restrooms, and laundry room, and explained some important details. The hostel's environment and atmosphere are fantastic, and there are even cats you can pet! Social butterflies can spontaneously organize games like Werewolf, or join in the hostel's planned activities. However, I'm not a very social person, and I spent most of my days out exploring, so I was rarely at the hostel except for sleeping at night. The common areas also feature a bar and a restaurant. I don't drink, and I wanted to try local Chongqing cuisine, so I barely ate at the hostel either. The dormitory rooms offer great privacy. There are lockers for valuables, and the bed curtains are blackout, providing complete darkness. Each bed also has its own light switch and power outlet, which is very convenient. The mattress and pillow were both very comfortable, and I slept soundly every night. Overall, the hostel has a wonderful atmosphere, and my stay was excellent. If I have the chance, I'll definitely choose to stay at '吃山' again.

Amazing hostel. The location is right above the Lianglukou metro station which provides access to Lines 1 and 3. It is incredibly clean. They are properly staffed at all times. Every detail has been well thought out by people who actually travel. Large room lockers, blackout curtains, hooks in your bed and shower areas. Pillow exchange stations, sanitized slippers, adequate laundry facilities, aircon controlled in your room, makeup area, restaurant, and bar. You name it. The only potential con is if you happen to be allergic to cats (I am not and love them so this was a huge plus for me!). I would absolutely stay here again if I’m back in Chongqing.

What I liked most was the spacious common area with plenty of seating. The location was quite convenient. The dining was also good, worth trying. However, the downside of sleeping with many people is that you can't lower the AC temperature, and the blankets are very thick, making it too hot to sleep well. But I understand there's not much that can be done about that. Another minor issue is that the cutlery needs to be checked; some utensils were put back without being washed properly.

When I checked in, there weren't any bottom bunks available, so the front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a six-person room – much appreciated, haha! The cats here are all adorable, and both the rooms and common areas are very clean. This will definitely be my go-to place whenever I visit Chongqing from now on.

This was my first time staying in a hostel alone, and it completely eased all my worries. There are password locks for both the main entrance and the rooms, and each bed has a locker with a lock, which made me feel very secure. It's best to bring your own toiletries, but the shower pressure was great and the hot water was consistent, so I could enjoy a comfortable hot shower after a long day of exploring. The laundry room was the biggest surprise—it's incredibly convenient for long-term travelers. The owner recommended the barbecue downstairs and an old iron cake shop, both authentic and affordable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing.

Great location, right above Lianglukou Metro Station. The room was spacious with a private bathroom, and there was even a separate vanity area. The lobby had many different sections, including a study room, and lots of cute cats. Very satisfied!

It was great! The environment was very clean and all the areas were well-organized. Everyone was very polite, and the little cat was adorable. The front desk staff were super friendly and gave me a tour of the different areas. They even reminded me that I left my newly bought headphones at the hotel! I can't imagine how upset I would have been if they hadn't. 😭😭

The room was clean and had a great vibe. It was very quiet at night, which was perfect for resting. The metro station right outside was super convenient. I stayed for three nights and found it cleaner and quieter than a hotel. In my opinion, it's number one, and I'll definitely stay at this hostel again next time I visit. Plus, there's a dedicated makeup room with free daily cosmetics available!

I came here based on recommendations, and it certainly lived up to expectations. In terms of location, it's very close to the subway station, making travel incredibly convenient. The public areas are well laid out with open views. There are even cute little cats that instantly melt away travel fatigue. While waiting to check in, you can fill your stomach in the dining area, and sometimes a little cat will even drop by. The amenities include a microwave, a refrigerator, and free-to-use cutlery, which makes you feel right at home. Regarding the living experience, comfortable slippers were provided. I chose a six-person dorm this time. The room was very spacious, and the bunk bed arrangement was well thought out, offering good privacy. The bed was wide enough for me, and I loved the ledge on the side where I could place my belongings. There were also thoughtful touches like candies and a handwritten note. The 'freshly changed for each guest' label on the bedding was very reassuring. The bedding was super comfortable, which was the best part of my 'Chishan' experience; I simply didn't want to leave. The room's air conditioning can be adjusted individually, with temperature adjustment tips. Thoughtful reminders are everywhere, and they actively encourage guests to communicate with the front desk if they encounter any issues, working together to maintain a good living environment. This is something I really appreciate. In summary, it's clear that 'Chishan' is run with heart and respects its guests. Thank you to everyone at 'Chishan' for providing us with such a comfortable sanctuary. I wish 'Chishan' continued success.

Honestly, I booked Chishan initially just to save some money, but it turned out to be much better than I expected! After checking in, a staff member gave me a tour, explaining the different areas and their functions, then led me to my room. Chishan even provides really comfortable slippers for guests! And they were clearly marked as disinfected, which was very reassuring! The bed and pillows were super comfy, so thoughtful! 🥰 There were quite a few international guests too! Everyone was very friendly and sociable, communicating and interacting nicely! The balcony outside has a great view – perfect for photos of the overpass. I didn't stay too long though, as someone was smoking. I hope they can have a separate smoking area in the future. The bathroom is also very large and spacious, pretty much has everything you need! The vanity even has a small mirror and a curling iron; everything is well-stocked. As it's a hostel, some noise is inevitable when sleeping. And every single staff member! They genuinely seemed so friendly and dedicated to their work! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing! 🙌 Also looking forward to your third branch in Chengdu!

Came to Chongqing for David Tao's concert and it was my first time experiencing a hostel. I chose the highly-rated Chishan! Both the common areas and the room hygiene were as clean as a hotel. There's a dedicated makeup room for girls, and a laundry room with a dryer in the lobby. The restaurant also offers made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a shame I only stayed one night and couldn't experience everything. Next time I visit Chongqing, I'll definitely choose Chishan again!
