Jilaimei Hotel (Chongqing Liberation Monument Eighteen Ladders)

The location is absolutely fantastic! Right next to the light rail station, in the heart of the Jiefangbei business district, making it super convenient to get to Hongyadong and the Yangtze River Cableway. The thermostatic shower provides stable water temperature, and the toiletries are comprehensive. The air conditioning is individually controlled, and there's a huge projector. The staff are warm and attentive, making for a perfect stay!

First off, this hotel is really tucked away. As someone new to the area and not knowing my way around, I couldn't even find the place when I first arrived. So, I called the front desk, and the woman who answered, probably in her late thirties or early forties, had an absolutely terrible, impatient, and utterly rude attitude. She sounded annoyed just picking up the phone. When I finally found the hotel and went upstairs, she looked at me with such a nasty expression, like I owed her a ton of money. The younger woman next to her, a bit younger than this 'auntie,' had a much better attitude. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of that kind woman. Besides that, the hygiene is unbelievably bad. Has the floor ever been mopped?! It was covered in all sorts of dirty stuff. And the bed was full of dust, plus a lot of [explicit word removed due to content policy, but implies something disgusting], which truly made me sick to my stomach. There were even live rollie pollies crawling on the floor 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 To anyone reading my review, I want to tell you, if any of this were false, why would I bother spending my time writing all this, and from the heart, no less? It's definitely because this hotel is exceptionally poor and bad, which is why I'm writing this. Your hotel should really fire that older woman with the terrible attitude. I don't understand how someone in the service industry can have such a temper. Is she serving me, or am I serving her?
