Major heads-up: Chongqing's subway exits don't have full escalators! So, if you're traveling with large luggage, definitely take a taxi instead of the subway! I was traveling solo with a 28-inch suitcase, and my clothes were heavy; I simply couldn't manage the 40-50 steps. I called the hotel front desk for help, and they initially told me there were only a dozen or so steps. Then they said the hotel only had one person working during the New Year (which I found out was a lie once I arrived, there were more). Honestly, even if there were 20 staff members, it's fine if they can't help, as the hotel isn't obligated to provide that service. But the front desk agent's comment, 'How the subway is built isn't something our hotel can control,' was completely unnecessary! I never leave bad reviews, but this one is specifically for the person I spoke with! I've included 4 photos of the subway stairs, showing the exact situation at the two closest subway exits to the hotel. If you have light luggage, this location is actually quite convenient – the hotel is indeed very close to the subway, I'll give them that. I booked a windowless room, which didn't face the street, so noise wasn't an issue for sleeping, just for your reference.
