Haoting High-Rise River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch)

Room is beautiful with a stunning view of Chongqing skyline and river. Location is great, just a short walk to Jiefanbei street and Hongyadong and a 10-15 min walk to the nearest metro ststion. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room is clean, although it could be slightly improved. Great value for money, I would definitely be back!

Had a fantastic stay here!! It was right in the action, great location, and had an absolutely amazing view! There’s only 1 washer and dryer so you may have to wait, and the dryer takes extra time to fully dry so it takes even longer, but at least there is one and it’s free! No breakfast and the building has so many different floors with multiple hotels/apartments so there’s always a long wait to get up to your room or down to go out. That’s the main downside because sometimes when an elevator does come, it’s usually already full so you have to keep waiting. Only other thing is that sometimes the toilet smells really bad, like sewage. We only noticed it twice during our 4 night stay and it didn’t stay very long, but it was strong and not pleasant. Other than that, no complaints. It was very clean and the host is extremely nice! She even had us try some mochi candy that was delicious! We also got discounted night cruise tickets with he, and it was a great price! The cruise wasn’t crowded either so it was a great experience. I definitely recommend staying here even despite the long waits for the elevator.

Hotel and check in is on 29th Floor of building. Nice spacious room in a great location. Everything is close at hand. Very comfortable bed suitable for Westerners. The movie screen in our room didnt work, but we didn't worry about it as we dont watch TV in China. Gym opens late (and not on weekends) and is on another floor and doesn't open until 10am (not really very convenient). Laundry on site, so that's a big plus. As the hotel is on the 29th floor in a building with multiple businesses and at least one other hotel, you can wait for quite a while for the lifts. But that's not really an issue. Recommended for the non discerning traveller.
