Liyi Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street Branch)

The biggest plus of this hotel is probably its decent location, being very close to attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave, and also reasonably close to a subway station. However, the cleanliness is truly concerning. After the previous guest checked out and the room was supposedly cleaned at 2 PM, I found the floor sticky when I entered. The room lighting was dim, and the shower water pressure was extremely low. I had booked three nights here. On the second day, I requested housekeeping, but when I returned to the hotel in the afternoon, it still hadn't been cleaned. I went downstairs for a meal, came back, and saw it was still messy. The male hotel staff claimed it had been cleaned. On the third morning, before heading out, I specifically told the front desk to clean the room immediately, as an elderly person with limited mobility was staying in the room. The elder said a young man only came to clean around noon, and the sticky floor was only wiped after it was mentioned. Furthermore, the washing machines and dryers in the laundry room on the second floor are very dirty. Honestly, if I were to visit again, I wouldn't choose to stay here. The hygiene is genuinely worrying; even basic cleaning isn't done well. It only has a relatively good location going for it.

The丽怡酒店 (Citadines) Hongyadong Chongqing is in a fantastic location! It's within walking distance to Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the food street, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom with its wet/dry separation was a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, even recommending sightseeing tips. This place offers amazing value for money, saving you hassle for both sightseeing and enjoying the night views. It's definitely my top choice for a trip to Chongqing! Facilities: The facilities are new, with smart controls that are easy to use.

The location is fantastic! It's within walking distance to Hongyadong Scenic Area and Luzumiao Street. Daijiaxiang, with its many local hotpot restaurants and cafes, is just a few dozen meters away, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel offers laundry service, and food deliveries are handled by robots, which is also very convenient. Staff clean the rooms and change towels and drinking water daily. My only minor complaint is that the platform recommends Exit 2 of the light rail, but once you're out, there are many confusing forks and the signage isn't clear. If you arrive late, the light rail exit escalators are shut down, and you're left hauling luggage up the stairs. I'd recommend taking a taxi instead, as they're quite affordable in Chongqing.

Facilities: The smart toilet was quite comfortable. Cleanliness: Decent, nothing extraordinary. Might get a bit dusty if you leave the window open. Environment: Very convenient for walking to the subway and attractions. Service: Both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were very friendly. Soundproofing was a bit lacking; doors closing could be quite loud, but I couldn't hear people talking. Overall, still pretty good.

Stayed for four days and three nights. The room was cleaned daily, and amenities were replenished. It's within walking distance to Hongyadong and Daijiaxiang, and there are plenty of local snacks nearby. The staff were very patient and excellent. There's also a laundry room and a gym. Overall, it's a solid five-star, no complaints. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends visiting Chongqing.
