IntercityHotel Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street

The pool on the terrace is fantastic – it would be absolutely perfect for a summer visit. They also offer afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and a wonderful nightcap. What about the overall service? As members of Huazhu Club, we've stayed at three different five-star hotels. The other two felt a bit like they were trying too hard to be 'Western' without really delivering the benefits. But staying at our own Huazhu Group's hotel, the Intercity Hotel, felt absolutely wonderful. It's a high-end five-star hotel that Huazhu acquired from Germany, and with the internal service from Huazhu Club staff, it really gives you a great feeling. The hotel facilities are very new, very clean, and very hygienic. Service feedback is also quite prompt. Breakfast is good, afternoon tea is good, and the late-night snacks are also great. The double-click features are really excellent. The only minor downsides are that the swimming pool might be a bit small, and there's no sauna or hot/cold plunge pools, which might be a timing issue. In summary, there are so many perks and benefits here, making you feel like family – it's very heartwarming. Before checking in, they even give you Haagen-Dazs, and you can draw Spring Festival couplets yourself, which is a fantastic touch. It feels much warmer than the other two five-star hotels that are overseas investments.

I chose the InterContinental Chongqing Jiefangbei for this trip, and it was a fantastic experience. Upon arrival, I was assigned a dedicated butler. The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to a subway station, and just a short walk to both Shibatil and Jiefangbei. The service was excellent; they offer complimentary afternoon tea and bedtime milk. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job; my room was spotless, and the bedding was so comfortable I fell asleep instantly. Plus, there's a viewing deck on the 13th floor where you can enjoy breathtaking night views of Chongqing and an amazing panoramic view of Shibatil. I highly recommend staying here!

The front desk and concierge staff were incredibly welcoming and greeted us warmly every time we entered or left the hotel. We even received drink vouchers and Häagen-Dazs ice cream vouchers! The front desk agent proactively spoke with the manager and arranged a complimentary room upgrade, which we really appreciated. Aside from a slight inconvenience with getting in and out of vehicles, the overall experience was good. Also, the hotel is a converted former bank, so the windows are a bit smaller than you'd typically find in an urban hotel. However, the location is excellent, right next to Jiefangbei. On our last day, the sunset cast a beautiful, cozy glow into the room. The lobby design is also very attractive.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Jiefangbei Intercity Hotel this time! It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were friendly and polite. They even upgraded us to a family room. The hotel's breakfast was also delicious, especially the douhua (tofu pudding)! Plus, the restaurant on the top floor has a great view, and being right next to the subway entrance was a huge bonus. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's within walking distance of popular attractions like Shibati, Jiefangbei, and Hongyadong. Public transportation is super convenient, and there's a wide variety of well-established shopping and dining options nearby, especially numerous restaurants offering authentic Chongqing cuisine – you'll be spoilt for choice! The hotel rooms are clean and feature smart amenities. The service quality is high, and the front desk check-in was quick and efficient, promptly responding to guests' needs with thoughtful and personalized touches. If I visit Chongqing again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. 👍

The hotel's location near Chongqing's Jiefangbei is incredibly convenient. There's a subway station right outside, just a few steps away. You'll also find many local specialty shops right by the entrance, making souvenir shopping a breeze. Directly opposite the hotel is a snack street, so dining and entertainment options are plentiful. A major reason I chose Citigo Hotel was its excellent environment and facilities. The lobby is grand and spacious, and all the amenities are new and well-appointed. The room itself is very large, and everything provided in it is incredibly useful, like the various hangers that truly accommodate all types of clothing. Plus, the Appelles toiletries in the shower are fantastic and smell wonderful. The hotel service is also excellent, with a dedicated butler who offered many great food recommendations. The hotel breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of choices, including the local specialty, 'xiaomian.' On the 13th floor, there's a bar and a pool, offering a superb night view. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Chongqing. 👍
