This hotel appears to be leveraging a lack of transparency to boost its profits. They initially list their rooms at low prices, differentiating between 'rooms without a fresh air system' and 'rooms with a fresh air system.' As an experienced traveler, I opted for the room with the fresh air system, and the booking was clearly marked as non-cancellable. Upon arrival, the front desk informed me that my room did not include air conditioning. Adding AC would cost an extra 30 RMB, a surcharge that was almost as much as the room rate itself. I questioned why this additional charge for AC wasn't clearly stated or displayed on the booking page. The front desk avoided a direct answer, stating that refunds were not possible, and any cancellation would incur a 40% fee. I then contacted Ctrip to negotiate, pointing out the misleading information and suspecting they were holding customers hostage over air conditioning. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius, this felt like outright blackmail. After some communication from Ctrip, the front desk claimed they couldn't reach the owner. I was actually right next to the front desk when Ctrip called, and it was obvious she made no attempt to contact the owner, leading me to believe they had already colluded. Ultimately, thanks to a subsidy from Ctrip, I agreed to pay the extra charge and check in. Big thumbs up to Ctrip! 👍 Moreover, the hotel's hygiene was absolutely terrible!! (See photos for details). For this price, there are countless better hotel options in Chongqing. Do NOT choose this place.

The room was very clean, but the facilities were a bit dated. Still, for the price, it offers excellent value for money. The bathroom also had good wet/dry separation.

Dont choose this hotel just because affordable price, this hotel withoout AC, Carpet floor very dirty, i cant step on it without slippers Hot water is not working Amenities not complete

Ok so the hotel is in a great location and it's extremely clean! But and that's a big but! It seems like the room wasn't cleaned for months! Especially the toilet... the smell is bad and yeah I recommend but for people who need clean places it's not recommended...

The ambiance is great, it's spotlessly clean, and just a stone's throw from Jiefangbei. Highly satisfied!

Place was very hard to find, service was alright but room was not clean and place was so old. Was an emergency stay for me so, never again.

Best location, room kind of clean except for the floor. Overall okay for a short stay with limited budget.

Hotel is located in the central, easily accessible to metro and other places.

The sanitation quality is poor. I stayed for two days and no one came to clean the room, let alone replace the trash can and towels. The bathroom window sticker is torn and there is no privacy at all. Fortunately, I am a man. If I were a woman, I would not dare to stay. The only good thing is that it is cheap.

The room decoration is too old and should be updated. The front desk was indifferent the whole time. Those who want a cheap stay should still consider the price/performance ratio. There are also cockroaches.
