Walling Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong)

We booked the 180° view room. From floor 14 you need to walk until floor 16th that was fine for us. The problem of the room us that yes… there is an amazing views from Chongqing but there is the hotel terrace just 1m below the room and whoever is having a drink there, will see you almost in the bed. We enjoyed the drone show from our room and AC on, (mid august).

Right in the city center across from the Art Museum, and walkable to Hongyadong and street food. The street is quite busy, so it might not be for you if you don't like a hectic area. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with language support. They gave us free breakfast and cafe vouchers. The top-floor had city view. Good room for the price. The window had no view (just a wall with vines), but it didn't feel cramped at all.

The hotel was located in a very good location. It is very near to the metro, Linjiangmen station. A short walking distance to jiefangbei food and shopping area and Hongya dong. The staff have provided very helpful and caring service to me and even give me a Chongqing speciality gift snack as a check out gift. I was also given a free upgrade to a room with a city view without me requesting. Very good customer service. The room is clean and spacious and has many amenities like toiletries and smart toilet provided. I would give this hotel a very good rating based on this.

Central location in Chongqing. Spacious rooms with great view of the city. Especially at night. Free washing machines and dryers are available. In the morning there is chinese breakfast including various noodle dishes, dumplings, eggs, cakes, tee and coffee. The soybean milk was delicious. Furthermore, the hotel gifts a free tea time, which we really enjoyed.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it! The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and modernly furnished. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially receptionists No. 3 and No. 4, who made our stay even more pleasant. We were also upgraded to a better room on the 10th floor, which had an amazing view of the Chongqing Art Gallery. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well throughout our stay. We received a meal voucher for each day of our stay, which was a really nice benefit. The vouchers could be used once per day during the designated hours, which covered most of the day from morning until evening. This meant we didn’t necessarily have to use them for breakfast – we could also use them for lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was very convenient. We also received a voucher for the hotel’s tea room, where we enjoyed an excellent Bitan Tea. It was a lovely experience and a very nice addition to our stay. The location is another big advantage. The hotel is right in the city center, with many of Chongqing’s main attractions nearby, as well as easy access to the metro. Overall, we had an excellent experience – a beautiful and clean hotel, great location, wonderful views, comfortable beds, thoughtful extras, and exceptionally kind staff. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

The location is excellent, not too far from Linjiangmen metro station, and within walking distance of many popular attractions including Hongyadong. The staff were polite, friendly, and provided great service. They used a translation device to explain important information which was very helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a higher floor. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The air conditioning was individually controlled, so I could adjust the temperature to my liking. It worked perfectly and kept the room nice and cool which was especially appreciated during the hot summer. Breakfast is served as a la carte not a buffet. You can choose one main dish from the menu, all of which are different varieties of Chongqing noodles. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the first floor next to the lobby which is also open to the public, and you don't have to eat it only in the morning, you can enjoy your meal anytime during the restaurant's opening hours. The hotel also has a rooftop on 15th floor where you can relax or enjoy the view. At checkout, the hotel staff gave me a souvenir snack which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and was very impressed. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I visit Chongqing in the future! The only downside is that there is only one elevator, so you may have to wait occasionally. However, the wait was never too long, so it wasn't a major issue. If you're staying on the lower floors, taking the stairs is often quicker.
