Where to start! If you are looking for a few nights away from the bustle of Chinese cities and you want to relax and unwind in nature then Suxi Qingshan Forest Homestay is perfect!
The hotel is easily accessible from Chengdu. A short 25 minutes train ride from Chengdu to Qingchengshan station and then the hotel staff will arrange to pick you up.
As soon as you arrive you will realise what an absolute gem this hotel is!
The hotel is nestled amongst the hills with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. This is a luxury hotel with the services and infrastructure to match.
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea upon arrival and you also have the possibility to enjoy a hot water jacuzzi, a fitness area, walks around the hotel forest grounds as well as many other experiences proposed by the hotel.
The hotel is only 15 mins drive from Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the hotel staff organised transport there and back for us. We would recommend this Panda reserve as it is much quieter than the reserves in Chengdu!
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was truly exceptional! We chose the set menu, which took us on a culinary journey through Sichuan. Each plate was refined, delicious and made using fresh ingredients.
The breakfast was equally delicious, fresh and healthy.
We would like to highlight the kindness and warmth of all the hotel staff. They were always available to answer any questions and organise activities to make our stay magical. The hotel staff were able to communicate with us in both English and French.
We stayed at Suxi Homestay looking for a relaxing few days away from cities and we were blown away by the experience! We would have loved to have extended our stay!

An exquisite boutique hotel nestled in the woods where we woke up to the birds chirping. The host and their staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The welcoming staff made the place more like a home than a hotel. The staff went out of their way to make it a special Christmas for us. The canopy walk was a highlight. The food was exceptional and fresh for a child that is picky. A cozy and beautiful hideaway from the busy urban life. You could be forgiven for thinking you were not in China. Truly a Shangrila.

I didn't expect to see a whole forest of cherry trees in April. It takes about an hour to drive from downtown Chengdu. The homestay is built on the mountain and sits on a whole forest. The air is fresh and it is a paradise for people. The owner has a superb control over the interior and courtyard design. The feeling in the park from morning to night is wonderful. Not only the furniture is comfortable and well-arranged, it makes people immersed in the holiday state. You can come to the tea garden to pick tea during the day, and then go to the panoramic teahouse to taste tea. Strolling around a large area of cherry trees in the park. There is also an observation deck overlooking the Chengdu Plain in the park. Relax and watch the beautiful sunset in the evening. The layout of dinner and breakfast is also innovative. The natural mountain mushroom hot pot even cleanses the stomach. The wind blows the leaves rustling. Feel the freshness and nature brought by the natural oxygen bar and the peace of mind. It is a dreamy day to soak in the forest bathtub at night.

Treasure Homestay has great service and full of details. We first checked into a double room and wanted to change to another room. There was only one child sitting on one of the beds in the whole room. After changing rooms, I found that the fresh milk I brought was still in the room at the beginning, so I went to get it. As a result, I saw the cleaning lady starting to change the sheets. I said that the child took off his shoes and sat for a while, so we let him go. The cleaning lady said it’s okay, change them all. This is really great and also responsible for the next customer. The soup pot for dinner was very good. There was a small cup of super mini cherries on the table. I asked the waiter and he said that the boss picked them from the cherries in the homestay. When I checked out on Mother’s Day, the boss also gave me flowers. I was so touched. The whole homestay is very thoughtful at first glance. It is full of design. Each room is different. We stayed in a courtyard hot spring. The children had a lot of fun playing in the water. The overall temperature is a few degrees lower than that in the city. It is very comfortable in the morning and evening.
