As mentioned previously, the corridors in the hotel do look like prison cells. That said, when you enter the room, you are pleasantly surprised. The rooms have everything you require minus coffee making facilities.
Very good location with the train station and shopping mall within easy walking distance.
Very good local bar named De Rust with good food, music and reasonable priced beer also within walking distance. The bar is opposite the railway line and visible from the train when entering Chumphon from a southerly direction.

It’s an oldie but I liked that about it . Retro but comfortable. The corridor does look like a fancy prison which I found funny . I’d surely stay there again

Reserve a fan room on the 5th floor, get out the elevator and the lights are really dark as reviews have said. Stay in room 508, condition ok, bathroom ok, but read a lot of reviews. I'm secretly slightly haunted. It's a really old room. But it has been renovated and is not old and shabby at all. Located near the train station Got off the train at 11:00 p.m. Walking alone was secretly scary. But not very far
