Americas Best Value Inn Clear Lake

We got a smoking room so I didn’t expect perfection. Even then didn’t expect what we walked into. There are so many different unpleasant smells in this place it’s unimaginable. They charge for cats, if your not employed there. We where given a room that was not presented on the advertised photo. The handle for the sink leaked and our curtain had holes in the blackout side of the curtain so there was no day sleeping. Had to exchange and get key card scanned multiple times. Maybe it was the discounted price through the app? I don’t know, and it’s like the longer we stayed the more our neighboring room got louder. It seems she may have been employed there. No fire sprinkler in rooms ment for smoking, no hammer to break glass on locked fire extinguisher storage in hallway. Just questionable all around, beware. Nice $taff, happy and proud to be there!.

Outstading manager. Good to talk to. Resposive. Answer all questions and accomodating but still had a line of fiscal resposibility forvthe owners.

The first room I was offered was left open and the bathroom had clearly been used. The second room was as expected. Would stay again.

The Handicap Parking was close to the door. Was expecting a Accessible room but could not get one. Thought the room could be cleaner.

This stay was one of many hotels that we had booked on our tour and with out question the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. When we pulled up we got a bad feeling about it. When we got into the rooms, they smelt like cigarette smoke and were clearly run down. The room was not clean. Sheets had dirt, hair and what looked like bed bugs and who knows what else in them. The bathroom was disgusting with hair in the towels, hairballs floating around on the floor, dirty rusty water leaking from the sink all over the floor. Rust in the shower and dirty toilets with pieces of $*@t still in the toilet. Needles to say we will never stay here again.

Everything it needed to be—we were just passing through and it’s convenient and easy.

Liked the large bathroom and nice grab bars, shower head with nice pulsing water massage, electrical plug in's lamp on/off buttons at easy to reach waist level, comfy bed and lots of pillows. Price reasonable.. Missing washcloths. Toilet running on arrival but an easy fix just lifted the cover and lifted the flapper and it stopped running. We did unplug the frig so we could sleep just had a light but annoying clicking sound. Breakfast; Good tasting hot waffles and syrup but no butter or jelly just 'whipped spread' and cream cheese for toppings. Nice selection of juices. .

This is a regular spot for us. It's inexpensive and clean.we are noticing less staff and remaining staff working harder.

The exterior seemed to be a little run down. The room was not real clean. There were paper/cloth scraps on the floor as if it had not been vacuumed. The bath mat in the shower looked extremely warn. We took it out before we showered, It seemed more sanitary. I would not recommend this property.
