As the title says, this is a great hotel. Let’s break it down by pros/cons.
Pros
Amazing views
Comfortable beds
Soft sheets / linens
Decent food
Great wine selection
Super clean in common areas
Great Spa
Cons
Food was a little over priced with the food meeting a solid 3.5 in my eyes.
While the room was clean it did have a few small things, damage in side of bathroom base boards(missing trim), bathroom near toilet had some small wall damage. Shower could use a nice regrout as it had some discolored areas could have due to the construction.
The biggest issue we ran into with the room is it must have had some old air filters in it or prior mold. Both my spouse and I were congested, her asthma was really bothering her. She needed her inhaler multiple times throughout the night. We are from Florida and we are use to SWFL / SEFL weather. I rarely get any sort of congestion but I definitely got a sinus headache the 2nd night.
The food pantry, this is a joke. You get “fresh fruit” first thing in the AM on each floor but if you’re not there at the time they load it you will be stuck with green bananas and unripe oranges by 9:00 AM and breakfast granola bars. They did have unlimited bottles of water which was nice. However for the cost of the hotel they could include fresh juices and hot coffee bar(units did have Nespressos, but 2 creamers and 2 sugars per serving, coffee was very good and bold, however no tea) and make sure the pantry’s stay stocked with other items.
