Travelodge Ashbourne

Amazing location right next door to a decent pub serving decent food, supermarket right over the road, stunning views across Ashbourne. The rooms were amazingly clean and very spacious. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. I will be back visiting family soon.

Genuinely surprised at how poor this hotel is considering its newly refurbished, definitely not worth the price we paid. The mattress was staggeringly uncomfortable, I assume they call it a “dreamer mattress” because whilst on it you dream of a more comfortable mattress, I might as well have slept on a park bench, it would have been comparable in comfort. The shower had poor water pressure and every time someone else in the hotel ran a tap it went burning hot or freezing cold. To top it off the hotel allow people to smoke at the entrance which then wafted through the open window which has to be open because the room was approximately the temperature of the sun. The hotel was clean and well situated is the only positive I can list.

Once again a warm welcome back from the manager who remembered us and was so appreciative of our return. 10/10 for a fab memory. The hotel has undergone a facelift and the rooms were a spotless as our previous visit, hotel nice and quiet and plenty of free parking for guests, so much to see in the peak district and lots of advice from staff on where to visit/eat. This will be another visit later in the year, thankyou all.

Special thanks to Annie, Leanne and all staff and customers during our stay at this lovely hotel. Myself and the team have recently completed a referb at this hotel. All staff have been extremely kind, generous and courteous. To deal with what we have had to do, to change the hotel and also their day to day roles was amazing. They are all a great credit to Annie. I understand maintenance work was being under taken but from early morning then noise from other guests. Overall not very happy with the hotel as a whole. Radiator was falling off the wall, missing items in breakfast box.

Room clean, bed clean and comfy, which are the main things. However a few small things need attention. Light in bathroom broken, no soap in dispensers, and faulty TV remote. Small things, but they need addressing.

Good clean basic accommodation next door to a pub selling lovely food. Ideally located for the town of Ashbourne and surrounding areas. The property is undergoing renovation which is almost finished but we were not disturbed by this as they were not on site during the weekend

Staff are pleasant but a staff shortage often means there are long waits at reception for service. Keycard functionality is fickle and frequently had to be reset at reception. Room is clean and recent renovations mean the facilities have been improved since previous visits (better curtains, larger TV, etc), however the water pressure in the bathroom of our room was not sufficient with both the shower and toilet lacking the water pressure to function efficiently. Overall, not a terrible hotel but not great value for the price either.

very enjoyable stay at Ashbourne Amazing staff ,great location, supermarket and public next door just a short walk to the town 1st class transport links bus stops just outside on the main road handy for getting to Derby,Buxton,uttoxeter even Alton Towers very comfy bed and its quite here no noise all in all would definitely stay here again 100%
