Down to earth, very friendly staff, flexible as to ordering meals. Parking is available in yard to the rear of hotel. Clean and efficient. Reasonable rates. Fulsome meals. Good location.

Worst hotel experience ever, rude owners, unfriendly, calling names, not family friendly, Arts Festival haters. We are international artists, based in Ireland (RTE, TG4) since 2003, conferred Honorary Doctorates by National University of Ireland for our artistic services delivered to all 32 Irish counties. We’ve been traveling all over the world and never, never ever we’ve experienced such a nasty treatment!!! TO BE AVOIDED !

This is very basic accommodation over a pub in the centre of Clonmel. Our room was clean but it was rather dark and depressing and appeared to have been furnished at the lowest possible cost. At a cost of €150 for one night in a double room without breakfast was it was considerably overpriced. I would suggest trying anywhere else in Clonmel

I was going to be staying at a modern hotel in a city for 2 weeks so I wanted to start my trip from America in a small town hotel with a nice pub. Mulcahy's in Clonmel fit the bill wonderfully. I don't know how old the hotel or its neighbors are, but they were build in the past when architecture was more interesting. The entire neighborhood of stores and shops are updated and modernized, while keeping the charm from the past. The street that Mulcahy's is on is bustling with life and vigor. It was refreshing to see an active small town shopping district. The check in was friendly and easy. They took my bags up while I moved my car to the back lot. The room was comfortable and roomy. The star of Mulcahy's, and the reason that I picked it, is the pub. It is a beautiful, classic pub, run by friendly people. I spent most of my time here getting adjusted from the jet lag. They have a restaurant on the other side of the lobby but I ate my meals at the bar. It is too good to leave. I had aq nice burger for my first meal, and really nice fish and chips every other meal. Like all great Irish pubs, it is a neighborhood gathering place, families eating, friends drinking and laughing, and sports on a few TVs. It was the perfect place for me to start this Irish trip. Bulmer's cider is made in the town so I recommend enjoying it.

Very nice top floor room. Massive bed, A/C, large bathroom with walk in shower. All good. But if you have mobility issues you may want to look elsewhere. Plenty of stairs with no lift ( lovely old building ) . Shame being nearer to 70 then 60 we were not offered a room on the 1st floor. Perhaps our fault for not asking, so make sure you as or you could be on the top floor. Lovely stay with good craic in the bar. Also central location dead opposite Macdonalds.

First time staying here… have eaten many times before. Rooms clean and new. No elevator so you have to be mobile but you can be given special consideration. Food very good. Bar life hopping and staff very helpful and good service.
