Hyatt Place Columbus

MSU cadet summer camp is the reason for our 1 day trip. We chose to stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and sweet. The breakfast great, and the breakfast lady, Ms. Candy was great nice. She is a blessing. The pool area is spacious amd nice. The carpet smells in the room and in the hallway. The carpet has to go.

Breakfast was not great. No fresh fruit, just canned fruit. Smoked sausage swimming in grease.

I didn't receive the room I asked and pay for I asked for a king bed but got 2 queen room wasn't clean enough.

Please stay away The A/C did not work. They gave us a fan ( yes - a fan). For a Hyatt- that would have been a first but I guess that may be their new standard to save money on A/C. I hope that does not catch on. The bathroom door would not close properly. Terrible place for that much money. Staff didn’t seem to be bothered.

The only thing was check in is a 3 pm and we got to check in but the room was not cleaned and ready until 9pm that night not sure what happen here but Hyatt did make it right

The stand-out thing about this hotel is the room we stayed in. Ours was a double queen which had a couch seating area with a nice desk. The bathroom sink was outside the bathroom and toilet room, making it more accessible if sharing a room. Breakfast was good, with eggs served every morning along with biscuits one day, pancakes another day, and French toast sticks another etc. Protein was sausage (2 mornings) and ham last day. A nice lady named Candy made sure we had what we needed. It was offered at a satisfactory rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
