This is a good hotel with a lovely reception full of plants. The whole place was clean with helpful staff. The buffets had a selection of hot and cold food with a definite Spanish twist. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfy beds. Don't miss the dolmans on the outskirts of the town.

I stayed here as part of a tour group. The hotel is well located for Seville, Granada and Cordoba and about an hour's drive from Malaga Airport. Initial impressions were unappealing. The hotel is on the outskirts of the town near a shopping mall. To walk into town takes about 20 minutes and there is no bus. The hotel itself is built on a large scale with a huge reception hall and wide corridors. My room was a long way from reception. It was a nice room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and outdoor swimming pool. Meals were eaten in an equally vast cavern with high noise levels, so it was difficult to hear. At breakfast various cereals were available, also fruit, cold meats and cheese, plus rolls. Cooked items were also available but I didn't eat any. At dinner there was a good choice of salads, meat and vegetables, also puddings. Both meals were buffet. The hotel reception staff spoke and understood English well and were helpful. The hotel is good for a couple of nights if you are touring but you wouldn't want to stay there all day.

Not a 4* hotel. Internet connection poor. No fridge in room therefore no minibar and snacks in room. No coffee and tea making facilities in room Needs a complete redecoration in many areas. Outdoor pool nice but has cracked or missing tiles in many locations. Says it is adjacent to golf course - which is actually 4km away. 10min stroll into lovely old part of Antequera. Overall kept clean and tidy apart from skirting boards missing in the corridors.

It is a hotel in a good location, good service, impeccable cleanliness, a good buffet. I recommend it 100%.

I found the staff at this hotel very unpleasant and at times rude. The trip we booked included wine with the evening meal. As there was only red wine on the table we asked for white wine. We were told we would have to give back the red. When I said others at the table were drinking red I got a shrug and the waitress walked away. 1 bottle of wine between 7 guests is not on! after several requests a bottle of white was brought out. The same was repeated the next night. When guests tried to take the remainder of their glass of wine outside to the patio area they were stopped at the door and told they had to finish their drinks in the restaurant. This was the same if you wanted to take your coffee outside or even a drink of water. No reason was given at the time. on our 3rd night the restaurant was very full and subsequently very noisy. As we were having to shout at each other we decided to take out drinks out and have a quiet time on the patio. We were literally chased by staff shouting at us and physically removing the drinks from out hands. One old gentleman had bought a whisky at the bar before going into the restaurant and as he hadn't finished it took it with him. He was stopped, when he said he had bought the drink at the bar he was frogmarched to the bar by the staff member who asked the barman very loudly if the guest had bought the drink at the bar. The barman confirmed this and this left an 85 year old gentleman very distraught and embarrassed at his treatment. When we eventually got outside - without our drinks a member of staff came to the table and started berating us very loudly. She did not introduce herself and frankly could have been anyone. She demanded to know all our room numbers. This was all done in a very threatening manner. We started to wonder if we were going to be locked out of our rooms. We were told however that the hotel had a policy hat you weren't permitted to remove anything from the restaurant - they should have told us that on day one! Next night the table next to us had 3 bottles of wine and didn't want one and passed this to our table. When the waitress saw we had 2 bottles of white wine on the table she came rushing over shouting 'no,no.no' and tried to remove the bottle. there was a tug of war between the guest and the waitress. It would have been hilarious if it hadn't been so awful. These episodes completely spoiled the holiday for many of us in the group and we won't be back.

Hotel very clean. Rooms could do with updating. Outdoor pool excellent. Staff very friendly. Hotel about a 15mins walk into town centre. Did not use restaurant at night. Breakfast plenty to choose from. WiFi not great. Plenty of seating around pool

The hotel is a small one, bed and breakfast and dinner. It is usually full of groups. We were a group of 44 using this hotel as a base to tour Cordoba, Seville, Grenada and Ronda. We could not sit at a table for two. We had long tables set out. One evening we went down and sat near our group on a table for two and the waitress gave us a very loud telling off. She did come back later and apologised and said it was only her working this particular room. The food is definitely not four star. It was barely warm and not replenished in a swift manner. It was more or less the same each evening, breakfast is passable but again not replaced swiftly enough. Beware that wine and water is provided at dinner but do not attempt to take your glass onto the outside patio. We witnessed a group of our ladies taking their unfinished wine outside and the waitress followed them out, followed by a manager shouting that if they want to drink outside you have to buy your wine. This was indeed a very unprofessional attitude by staff. All the ladies glasses were taken off them. Indeed if wanting to have a coffee and a smoke outside do not attempt to take your coffee out, again taken off you. The pool area is small but adequate and the pool very refreshing, no problem getting sun bed. The room we had was up in the top tier so only a sliding window. It was adequate and kept clean by staff. Although the reception looks modern the rooms don’t reflect this. Rather ancient. Don’t know if this is how it’s meant to be. This is not a holiday hotel but rather a stopping over place to do the classic Andulacia tour. We had two free days and walked into Antequera. It’s a beautifully kept place. If you need a taxi to get there it’s only €6, or a 10 to 15 min walk. There are no tea/coffee making facilities. One small bottle of water provided on arrival. If you need to use this hotel as part of a tour ask for a room with a terrace or next floor up where you’ll get a balcony. Thinking about all this I would say three star plus at a push. No entertainment. Dinner is late too, 8 pm.

Beautiful large bedroom. Bathroom a bit dated but very clean. Shower leaves you frustrated. Service at reception helpful to a fault. Maybe a checkout key service would speed things up. Enormous foyer area with comfortable chairs to relax on.

The room we had was both large, quiet, and comfortable. The Wi-Fi, however, was abysmal, slow and kept dropping out, which is unacceptable these days. The pool area is actually quite nice with lots of sunbeds and a nice terrace area. However, the time you can access the pool is severely restricted. Breakfast itself was okay. Reasonable choice, but towards the end of service food was not replenished. Fried eggs in particular were left under heat lamps until they were absolutely rock hard and inedible. The biggest problem, however, was dinner. There was practically no hot vegetarian choice whatsoever, unless you wanted salad salad salad. What is a real pity is that this could’ve been rectified so easily. For example, the dishes of really nice mushrooms, beans, and other dishes that could’ve been easily vegetarian. But no, let’s chuck a couple of sausages in there ! The rice salad again, could’ve easily been vegetarian. But no, let’s pop some meat in! The food labelling was also totally inadequate. That is unacceptable these days. Staff were vague when asked what was in the dishes. This would’ve been a three star review from me if the vegetarian choice had been reasonable… it is for that reason, I have to knock it down to 2 stars which is a pity they look to be trying hard.
