A fabulous house with stunning grounds. Our room (20) had a comfortable amount of space with a lovely view across the valley. The grounds were beautifully kept and had a fabulous collection of ancient trees. The breakfast was superb, a real 10/10. The staff were also 10/10, especially Nigel, Laura and Val. We hope to return.

I have stayed here about 6 times over the last year and never grew tired of it, if u are looking for old world charm , a quintessentialy English welcome then stay here , the breakfast is special and Robina and Nigel the owners and their staff Val and Laura make u feel very valued and welcome ,the grounds are magestic and peaceful , it’s easy to unwind there … it’s a hidden treasure. As other have said, the warmth , welcome & service here was excellent from my initial enquiry in November to our 2 nights stay I arranged for the 6 of us, plus 3 hounds for a birthday soirée ( December 9th)....... The whole ambience compliments the history of the location. Great rooms ( 19 & 4 ) are a definite must, freshly sourced local ingredients for the yummaliscious breakfast & relaxed & witty service from Val, Laura, Nigel & Rowena.. It would be an extremely picky & harsh guest who would find fault here... We all hope to return.. Thankyou..( 6⭐)

This was one of the prettiest hotels/BNBs we’ve ever stayed in. The staff/owners were incredibly helpful and kind and the place was beautiful! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Loved the gardens, the house (very Victorian), and the gardens. If you are into nature this is the place to be. The breakfast is made to order and the staff is just excellent. Thank you to all staff!
