Les Sables Blancs

Top Destination family, couple or solo Top-level staff and service with excellent bar and restaurant at a hotel overlooking the beach and the ocean. If you don't like the lullaby of the ocean waves, the profound beauty of the sea, or sunset dinners on your balcony, stay across the street and down the block where you can listen to the cars pass by. I have stayed at this hotel several times and absolutely loved it. The rooms are comfortable and most have recently been renovated(closet, cupboards, small fridge and desk).

Breathtaking sunsets, moon risings, generous breakfast, all nuxe toiletries, delicious dinners… What a fabulous find! They provide lovely robes and slippers, we were in room 4 which had an in-room safe, jacuzzi and a large exterior dining table and two full sized sun beds. Truly a gem. Grateful for the friendly and accommodating staff. It was magical to fall asleep listening to the waves along the shoreline and spend the day soaking up the sun! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Booked the room, when we arrived no parking as its not private parking so had to park miles away, room was tiny not as stated, was so hot and also dirty, mini bar had one bottle of water and one can of fizz water, the worst though was its a shared balcony so your neighbours can see right in your room so you would need to keep your curtains shut, definitely not a 4 star hotel, was so bad we didn't stay and hotel refused to issue us a refund. Staff totally uncaring and are obviously used to complaints and couldnt care less that they ruined our time away. We booked based on the room photos, beware you can only just walk round the bad and only one side has a small shelf the other side doesn't even have that. Bedding and bed is substandard, have had better rooms in 2 star hotels!

My husband and I spent months planning our dream vacation to Europe, which included one week stays at three different luxury hotels. The first two hotels were excellent and far exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, Les Sables Blanc was a significant disappointment and ruined our stay in Brittany. Upon arrival at Les Sables Blanc, we immediately realized the suite had no AC, even though the website clearly states they did. When we enquired about AC, the receptionist indicated that she knew nothing about this problem and pointed to a fan in our room. When we noted that the fan was inadequate, she provided us with an air purifier. The air purifier failed to cool the room, but the motor and air plugs came in handy to drown out the constant noise from the restaurant directly below our suite. The bed contained a thin, hard, uncomfortable mattress, which is undoubtedly below the standards for a four-star hotel! We requested a pillow-top mattress cover but never received it. On the fourth night of our stay, the hotel hosted a private party with live music in its restaurant and outdoor balconies directly below our suite. The music ended at 10:45 p.m., but the guests' revelry continued until the early morning hours. Needless to say, we got little sleep that evening. The evening of the party, we were also informed that there would not be a breakfast buffet (included with the room) the following day because of the private event. The receptionist offered us breakfast in bed the next morning, which we gladly ordered. Unfortunately, it never arrived. When I enquired about our missing breakfast, the staff was unapologetic and stated they were too busy with the private party! This is undoubtedly not a four-star hotel, and the staff needs lessons in customer service. This hotel appears to be only interested in maximizing profits while giving minimal service to their guests! It is sad because the location of this property is exquisite, with a gorgeous beach and ocean views. With some simple updates, better staffing and training, less greed on the owner's part, and more concern about their guests, this property could be really special!

We were a couple in one room and my father in another and had a good 4 night stay here. Plus points- delicious breakfasts, good local knowledge, very clean, beautiful area and great eateries. Minus points - very uneven bottom step was difficult and my father stumbled a couple of times, shared toilet- didn't matter as we were family but I wouldn't have been happy had the other room been let as it meant paddling along the landing in the middle of the night, especially as I asked whether we had our own bathrooms, a fridge is provided for guest use and tea/coffee making facilities are in rooms but I presume guests have to provide their own milk as none was provided. We had a lovely time in spite of these small niggles, but it's fair to say that improvements could be made here and there for an easier stay.

This place was recommended by a colleague that had stayed before, and I can honestly say that it was an absolutely faultless experience. From arrival, to departure, I was made feel welcome, looked after, and comfortable. Every single person went above and beyond. I have already discussed with my wife about going back for a visit (without the need to work!)
