This is not a luxury stay. We’ve been travelling around the UK & Ireland and this place was the worst. The bathroom had mould all over the walls, ceiling & shower. The tap fitting was broken & loose. The shower fitting was wobbly and not attached to the wall properly. There were no glasses only some cheap thin disposable cups. The kettle was unusable as it had mould in the bottom of it. We didn’t bother with the breakfast due to the lack of hygiene. There was no safe in the room. I would not recommend staying here.

Lovely guesthouse. Rooms were lovely and the staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was nicely cooked and plenty of options available. Would definitely be happy to stay here again. It is a bit of a hill to walk up and down to get into town but wasn’t that bad. Near train station and a few pubs and restaurants nearby.

We were in Cork visiting family and chose here to stay. The staff could not have been any friendlier or more welcoming. The room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the shower's water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I would recommend here to anyone looking somewhere to stay in Cork city.

We spend 2 nights at Gabriel Guest house during a family trip and it was really nice. The best thing about the place is the super friendly and supporting staff during our stay. We were helped in any possible way and were made feeling home and very welcome. And the breakfast was simply amazing. So much attention to the food and everything was freshly prepared to the point with a little extra to it. I want to really highly recommend this place for a stay in Cork!

I cannot fault this amazing friendly cozy guesthouse. It has literally turned me off hotels and converted me to seek Guesthouses instead. The attention to detail in the design and comfort is 💯 perfection. The staff remembered who you are and took the time to chat each time they saw you. There was nothing they cudnt help with. The area is so convenient, bit hilly but ideal for train station and city centre. The room was fab with the most comfortable beds and quilts. The 4 of us woman had great sleeps. Shower was incredible! SO much option for breakfast which is cooked to order, with alot of savory and sweet pastries, cereals fruit and juices. Yummy!! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting cork!! Ps. If U have physical disabilities ask for a low floor. There is no lift. X

What a beautiful place to stay. We only got one night here but we were stunned with the view from our room. The owner Cary went above and beyond as well as her staff. We thank you all so much for your help with our large group and ridiculous amount of luggage. Rooms were large and comfortable. The bathrooms were also large. The views were spectacular! A very close walk to the train station was an added bonus for sure! Stay here!!

The quality of this hotel was a big disappointment. Starting with having to drag our luggage down the steep driveway with no assistance, to the poky room with e.g. no powerpoints in sensible places, no bedlamp on the one side, to the slow service for breakfast and poor quality of the food. Will definitely not return.

Staff are incredibly rude and need some major lessons in manners, especially the manager Kathleen. I would absolutely not stay here, there are much better places to stay in cork city. Don't waste your money on unwelcoming snobby rude people, the Irish are better then what they display.

What a lovely gem! We were in Cork for the International Mixed Ability Rugby World Tournament hosted by the fabulous Sunday’s Well Rugby Club family. Kathleen greeted us on arrival and looked after us with helpful advice. We arrived on the morning of the Cork marathon and the roads were congested or blocked off but the Satnav found a way and we were soon safely in the free car park that has (I note) electric charging points. Kathleen advised in the best way to get to Musgrave Park and we left for the day arriving back at the hotel much later than we had anticipated with all the excitement of the opening ceremony. The room was clean with en-suite facilities. The staff are all amazing. Friendly and cheerful. They obviously take pride in their work and enjoy it. Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful selection, including freshly cooked breakfast that was beautifully presented and tasty. There was plenty of it and a great choice. On the day I was to give a key note at the tournament conference there was a sudden downpour, Kathleen organised a taxi at short notice to get us to the venue. Nothing was too much trouble. My wife became poorly with shingles but Kathleen was very helpful in obtaining medical advice/input had we needed it. (The tournament medical team sorted us out and we were grateful for our EHIC.) If I managed to bore the hotel staff with my detailed (and probably over the top) descriptions of the amazing rugby…they did not show it! We were sad to leave and had felt completely at home. It’s a wonderful place to base a visit to Cork. What a great team of people amongst many great people in a very friendly city.
