Dayon Hostel

I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned.

Had a lovely stay in Dayon! The staffs are exceptional and really helpful whenever I have questions about the island. They’re very much happy to recommend places and things to do. The location is also perfect as they are near to almost all nice eats in Coron town proper. Stayed in the mix dorm that’s located in the rooftop. Beds are nice and comfortable. Wish there are more pillows though! Also wish that you have hair dryer in the bathroom! 😅 Overall it was a good stay. Highly recommended! 👍🏽

Staff was super friendly! After arriving to Palawan we were offered tons of helpful advices on our trips there! Food was awesome, met fantastic people there and food was also pretty good. I visited Dayton Hotel in August 2018! I would definitely recommend anyone to visit them!

3days 2 nights that’s the exact days I stayed in this place . I would say excellent service, great place to stay, stress free. Great ambience lovely staff and amazing experience. I will not say anything bad about this place . All worth it . I will be back and I promise to stay here again. Loved this hostel. It’s modern, clean and boasts great facilities. Very chilled rooftop area with spectacular view of leafy surroundings. Staff were incredibly helpful with booking tours, even before we arrived to the island. Highly recommend.
