I was at the hotel with a group of over 30 cyclists and we could not be happier with the hotel! The rooms where very spacious, clean and amazing linnen! The food is just amazing (strongly reccomend the half board plan) and the whole staff was very very friendly and eager to help! At the front desk Sofia was super helpfull when I needed to print some papers and saved my day! A BIG THANK YOU to all the team!

This is without doubt my favourite hotel. The venue, the rooms, the cuisine and above all the amazing staff. From Lidia and the team at reception to the porters and restaurant team they are outstanding. My 5th visit and the standard remains unbelievably high.

I give it a perfect score and especially for hospitality. Personalised and prompt service from staff at the front desk, F&B and housekeeping. Even the owner (Mr Kostner) led by example in this respect and interacted with us over dinner and cocktails. He took the trouble to introduce desserts one evening. Special thanks to staff from F&B, namely, Stefano, Lisa and Kareem, and Lydia from the front desk. Room furnishings (pine wood) are quite new (we stayed in a Family Room) newly renovated old wing). In the common spaces, there was a tasteful mix of modern and traditional furnishings and decorations. Most of the food (half-board) was delicious. Their desserts are top drawer. The indoor pool and spa provided comfortable and calm settings to relax especially after a day of hiking in the mountains nearby. There is a supermarket a stone’s throw away. Truly, a home away from home.

Wow! I confess that I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel. The last time I stayed half board in a ski resort was several years ago, in the nearby resort of Arabba, and I was not relishing the prospect of doing it again. My fears were totally unfounded. This hotel is quite simply brilliant at what it does. The welcome was very friendly and super-efficient; a hard task when everyone is arriving on the same day for a week! The suite was excellent and spotlessly clean. It would have been nice to have some more glasses and utensils in the living room, but these were easily borrowed from the bar. The food was fantastic. And, my goodness, there was a lot of it! But it was all delicious, and the different themes for different days added to the interest. I must also mention Sergio our server, who was incredibly friendly, kind and efficient. We had massages one day, with Christina, who was amazing. Highly recommended. And the spa area is lovely. Location-wise, the hotel is a very short walk to a gondola, and a very short walk to the supermarket and ski hire shop ... in an ideal location. Our group of friends all decided that we have to come back. It was not a hard decision.

Spectacular hospitality in this mountain-town retreat. We stayed only 3 nights—not nearly enough time—and were so comfortable, treated so welcoming-ly by every staff member. Had several personal conversations with Silvia, whose family has been running this place for 4 generations. The facilities were comfortable and modern, but the vibe was traditional and there was a loving attention to details of every kind. We had half-board (breakfast and dinner), and the food was delicious and prepared to the highest standards. It is walking distance to a few different gondolas, and the local bus stop is right across the street (a free pass for the bus was presented to us as we checked in). I plan to come again, for at least a week next time!

Marvelous meals at this excellent hotel. We had the all inclusive package and highly recommend it. Desert night is off the charts. Large spa downstairs, with pool, steam room options, sauna, jacuzzi, and showers, communal clothing optionsl. the rooms are large. The owners is very hands on, and accessible.

Location, Location- the Posta Zirm is right at the center of Covara Village with shops and restaurants just steps away. I was part of a 9 person group of skiers who had been skiing in Austria and now we were staying a week in Covara to ski Alta Badia. The variety of terrain and the great lift system means you can ski a different area every day of the week. The Col Alt gondola is just out the back of the hotel. The ski room was great with racks on wheels for skis and boot drying racks. Just come down in the morning and gear up, walk out the door and the gondola is right there. We did half board and the food was excellent, especially dinner with 3 main dish choices daily as well as daily variety. Breads, cheeses, fruits, salads and dessert on a buffet for individual selection. Breakfast was buffet with a nice selection to choose from. They had an orange press for fresh OJ and a juicer for apples and carrots. We had the same table every meal and the same two servers who we got to know. We met a family group from Austria who have been coming to the Posta Zirm for 22 years I believe that says a lot. The rooms were good sized and clean and the beds comfortable, the bath was great with walk in shower. There was a large heated rack for towels and drying ski clothes All the staff was helpful and friendly especially the front desk The bar area is very nice and includes a fantastic machine that slices spect ( ham like prosciutto) in very thin portions which they deliver with some crackers and olives apres ski. Wine, beer and cocktails are good and reasonably priced. There is also a lounge/pub downstairs for apres ski which was a lot of fun. The views from the hotel are incredible as well as all over Covara. I could go on for a long time about Posta Zirm but before I end I must mention the spa and pool- these were great for relaxing after a day of skiing, clean and well maintained. They have massage available at good prices. My wife was not on this ski trip so I want to bring here in the fall for her birthday to do some hiking and biking

We stayed at the Posta Zirm for a week in July. We had heard about Corvara from a friend, and we found Posta Zirm on TripAdvisor. We had stayed in family-run Alpine hotels elsewhere, and we knew that they tend to be very charming, with excellent hospitality. Posta Zirm did not disappoint! It’s one of the best places I have ever stayed. For my taste, it is the right combination of very nice but not too fancy, and the service and location are excellent. First of all, Corvara is a dream spot for a holiday in the Dolomites. From Corvara you can take lifts up three different hills that you can use as the base for hiking. The public bus service originates right outside the hotel and will take you to several other nearby trailheads. If you have a car, you can easily get to still others. Even without leaving the hotel, the views are spectacular. We decided not to get a rental car for our trip because we figured it would just sit around most of the time. Instead we traveled to Bolzano by train and then by private taxi to Corvara. It’s also possible to get there by public bus, but it takes a lot longer. The bus is very inexpensive. The taxi is more expensive, but far cheaper than renting a car that you won’t need once you arrive. The hotel has the contact info for a taxi service on its website, but if you ask them for info they will respond quickly with helpful information. It may seem difficult to get there, but it’s really not so hard if you ask for advice. And spending time in Corvara is certainly worth the trouble of getting there. Posta Zirm offers guided hikes three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). We checked in and out Saturday, which meant we missed the Saturday hike. We would be sure to join as many of the guided hikes as possible in the future. The hike was wonderful, with only a small group of hikers and a guide who was skilled at making the trip work for the whole group, i.e. both fast and slow walkers. The route was spectacular. You can see from the hotel’s website that they are ready to provide all kinds of advice about activities such as hiking and biking. If you are looking for such advice it is important to ask when you arrive and they will be extremely helpful. If you don’t ask, they might not think to tell you about everything you want to know. Meals were wonderful. I mentioned previously that we have stayed in family-run hotels in several places in the Alps, and they often come with a half-board plan that includes breakfast and dinner. We love not having to worry about finding a place to go out. Also, at the end of a long day of hiking, it’s nice to relax, put on your indoor clothes, and not have to venture out again. We sometimes worry about the possibility that the food will get repetitive if we eat at the same place every night for a week, but that was not the case. Every night the food has a different style, and every night there are at least two options to choose from for each of th

What can I say? Our trip to the Posta Zirm was perfect. We have been to the Dolomites before, but never Corvara. We were skeptical about staying in town because we like to be IN the mountains, but we were quickly won over by all aspects of the Posta Zirm. First, it is a beautiful hotel. Well-appointed, not too fancy, and everything kept in tip-top form. Second, the hospitality cannot be beat. Silvia and her staff are superb. Every detail matters to them and they strive to give every guest a lovely experience. We loved the modern rooms with functional balconies and beautiful mountain views. We loved the half-board system with the very knowledgeable and professional wait staff and the delicious and varied meals. We loved the planned, accompanied hikes. And we loved the free wellness spa! Finally, the location cannot be beat. Above all, this is a family-run hotel in which there is so much pride taken in the amenities and professionality of services. We adore this hotel and will most certainly return. Cheers to the entire staff for a job well done.
