Incredible week-long stay at this hotel. Beds were amazingly comfortable, like no hotel bed I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is a concept hotel designed by famous Lanzarote artist Cesar Manrique and the wonderful Dalyne explained the history to us. The open-topped foyer is spectacular and when it’s sunny it’s bright in the hotel, when it rains it rains into the lush plants and waterfalls they have. The buffet was incredible and I’ve read reviews saying repetitive but I’d disagree. We had sushi nights, amazing seafood nights, local cuisine nights, roast meat nights… So much choice. Always fresh fruit, always lots of salad, meat, fish, veg. Vegetarians are happy, I’m dairy-free and there was plenty for me to enjoy. Fizz station at breakfast for anyone starting early! The staff could not be friendlier, the pool bar measures are very generous and all the brand names. Cocktails were delicious and quick. The pool is stunning (if cold, but I hear they are installing solar heating). Minutes from the pool is a beautiful beach and we took our coffee down there after breakfast every morning. Gorgeous. There are lots of activities on offer and all align with Manrique’s idea of embracing Lanzarote so yoga and meditation are on a palm-lined area by the beach where you can feel the sun and hear the sea. Pilates was on floating platforms on the pool. Lots of people engaged. For €15 per person you can privately enjoy the spa (jacuzzi, sauna, steam) for an hour with a beautiful view of the gardens. Lovely a la carte restaurants. We enjoyed Samira and it’s very very good food. Shops and longer stretches of beach are minutes walk. The hotel is a short distance from the airport. Every night there is live music and often everyone is up dancing - if you want to! This hotel was a total treat and poolside is calm and peaceful, no banging music. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We read good reviews and I’m happy to add to that. We were relaxed, happy, well-fed and well looked after :)

Truly a 5 star hotel, the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. Unfortunately our trip was cut short by the flooding and we had to relocate to another hotel, however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Paradisus. The room was small but cleaned well every day. Amazing food and cocktails and always plenty of sun loungers. It is a pricey stay but worth the money if you want relaxation and luxury. The staff are all fantastic as well, minus a few grumpy ones but then they work so hard so can’t blame them! The hotel manager was phenomenal when we had the power cut from the flooding, he spoke to everyone individually and stayed up overnight to help everyone! Will definitely be returning when I am able.

A great hotel, very friendly and attentive staff, beautifully designed, food was excellent and varied choices, great views and scenery and a wide range of activities to take part in. Live music every night and most nights people got up to dance with the staff, very fun and lively with a 24 hour operational bar that serves all kinds of drinks and some meals.

We always struggle to find a hotel that meets our expectations after staying at Ikos resorts across the summer. Last year we stayed in the reserve at Paradisus Gran Canaria so I will be comparing both resorts. The resort itself is cleverly designed in a traditional Lanzarote style with an open to the elements centerpiece surrounded by waterfalls and many different cactus plants. Staying in Reserve meant our own dedicated reception desk, separate pool/bar luncheon area and most importantly for me padded sunbeds. The non reserve beds looked awfully uncomfortable and for this reason alone I had to choose Reserve. We chose a Junior suite ocean view with whirlpool tub and spent many happy evenings having the full sun on our balcony sharing a glass of bubbles listening to the various entertainment coming from the beach bar. There are 3 speciality restaurants - La Graciosa ( Tapas at lunch and Canarian set menu of fish/meat/veggie) in the evening. Capella - Italian and Samira - Middle Eastern. These restaurants can only be booked when you check into your room - being in reserve the first three nights our concierge did this for us but you can also book via the app. Included in the reserve concept was a choice of two free organized trips with transport. We chose the El Grifo vineyard tour - the guide was most informative en route and even showed us local sights including a photo opportunity at Timanfayo. My only real gripe was the Reserve pool - this was much bigger than the Gran Canaria reserve pool but oh my it was bracing, I do love a dip but fairly sure I turned blue on entering! The Gran Canaria reserve pool was beautifully heated. At this point I must mention a very special member of staff named Jonathan who works in the reserve pool bar. His attention to detail and overall enthusiasm for his job shone through. He is an absolute credit to the Melia group. I would like to steal him to work at Ikos Resorts! All of the staff appeared happy and welcoming. Thank you for Chandrini in reserve for booking us in. Evenings were spent in the Ginger bar watching the entertainment and sipping cocktails / playing cards. I did notice that this was the only bar open in the evening unlike Gran Canaria which also had the Sports bar. This would have been more suited to those guests who didn’t particularly want to enjoy the evening entertainment and wanted to chat loudly through a candlelit piano performance. Food quality in the buffet is in front of The Gran Canaria resort with piping hot plates and food at the correct temperature. We had an issue with cold food in the buffet at Gran Canaria but could see they have made an effort here. We loved the Tapas lunch specials in La Graviousa, the reserve pool restaurant was delightful and we also ate lunch in the buffet. We tried all of the restaurants and had a fantastic meal at La Graciosa both opting for the meat option however on returning a few nights later the veggie option was quite poor .

Just home from an incredible stay. I travelled on my own and am so glad I chose this beautiful hotel. I was I was so sad to leave. This hotel offers the perfect mix of relaxation, entertainment and culture. The architecture and decor is beautiful. It’s clear that it’s a beautiful place and the attention to detail is second-to-none but it’s the staff that make this hotel what it is. They’re so warm and welcoming. From the moment I stepped inside, everything was perfect. The service throughout was incredible, from the Reserve check-in, to the restaurants and bars, the cleaning, turndown service and beyond. Special shout out to Chandni in the Reserve who gave me a tour on check in. She was incredible. I highly recommend booking the Reserve package. The check-in process was exceptional. I arrived early to a glass of bubbles in hand and could avail of the lounge while I waited a short amount of time for my room to be ready. You’ll be personally escorted to your room where your bags are waiting for you. The a la carte breakfast at Reserve also deserves a mention - Lovely to enjoy the first part of your day on the private terrace at Samira The Reserve pool area is an oasis of tranquility. Gorgeous space to relax in. Jonathan at the bar is the master of cocktails. Absolutely delicious - make sure you try a violet piña colada! Carolina and Noemi were incredible too. The local handmde soaps and creams with a card as a parting gift was a lovely touch and I appreciated the late check out. Another special shout out to the entertainment team- Carlos, Hoda, Barbara, Armando, Raquel to name a few. They were so warm and welcoming and bring a great energy to the hotel. I signed up for lots of activities because of them. They really made the trip memorable. The mix of activities at the hotel is perfect. From art, to wine tasting and sampling of local jam and cheese, to beach volley, to yoga pilates and spin by the beach, and excursions to local attractions like El Grifo Winery in La Geria -there is something for everyone. The team makes you feel very included. The variety of live music was also a standout. From the candlelight piano session Rock and Latin dance in Ginger, to DJ and guitar in Alula, it was all so enjoyable to sit and enjoy a drink to. All the bar and waiting staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. The food options were great. I really enjoyed all the options, especially the Italian- Cappella and tapas lunch at La Graciosa. The main buffet had a wide selection of foods any time I went. I never felt like I needed to leave the hotel, but the beach-front location made it perfect for a walk along the coast. All in all I had an amazing trip and I can’t wait to visit again. This is a special place.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious enough. The bed and bedding are brilliant. The bathroom is very good. Nice shower. The food is very good and the drinks are good quality. The pool area is beautiful, but in January the pool water is quite cold. The staff are all positive and helpful. The resort is the best on Lanzarote in our opinion. The lunch in The Graciosa, Canarian restaurant is outstanding. The hotel was refurbished to a high standard a few years ago but the marble floors weren’t and are damaged in a few places. Go on the interesting manrique tour on the Tuesday and you learn about the restoration. Good place to stay.

Excellent hotel. We stayed in a reserve room and enjoyed the little extras, like the separate pool, lounge area and breakfast room. The food was excellent and we had no problems booking the restaurants on the app. Great location too. Our room was lovely and all the service we had was great.

Just had 4 nights at this five star all inclusive hotel in Costa Tequise. We don’t normally stay all inc but couldn’t fault the hotel for choice of branded drinks, food options and standard of bedrooms. We had a prime ocean view room no 352 which Had amazing evening sunshine The staff in the Ginger bar was exceptional. The food ordered there was a good standard too. We really enjoyed the live music at the beach bar at 4 pm daily. The speciality restaurants were pretty average except for La Graciosa which we really enjoyed for lunch times. Would really recommend this hotel.

Just arrived home after 1 weeks visit at this hotel. First of all huge respect to all the staff at the hotel - making this stay so fantastic. It is impossible to remember all names, but all from reception, the reserved reception, theme restaurants, main restaurant, bars, facility - all all all always smiling and making the most to serve the guests. Jonatan at the reserved bar deserves some special words - top class service, fantastic drinks and making the guests feel like in heaven. Rooms are renovated, really comfy and well maintained. View from 4th floor was terrific Of course, even if most of the things were on top, some topics have room for improvement from the management. Often at the main restaurant, the food was not warm enough - the heated plates were hotter then the food - here you must do something, because it takes away the pleasure of eating. A lot of food is far to "advanced" even for 5 star guests - we missed regular fries, some pizza slices and "normal" food on the buffet and snack bars. The temperature of the heated pool in the reserved pool was really cold - some effort should be taken into consideration and would certainly attract more guests during the colder months. Last advise from us - if you can afford it, choose the reserved guest experience - it will make the extra star for your stay and the breakfast a la carte - it is totally priceless
