L'Escalivade

The reviews don't seem genuine. The room was very poorly insulated; you could hear the neighbor's phone vibrating, not to mention everything else... The pool was filthy, with no safety measures in place, and the same was true in the room—only the wall-mounted holder was there. The owner is a thief; he tried to charge my credit card (thankfully expired) two months after my stay and insulted and threatened me, calling me a crook when I called him for an explanation. He had already insulted me over the phone when I left a negative review. Avoid this place at all costs!

I made a reservation through *********** for August 30th to September 2nd. Unfortunately, I had to cancel it on July 28th, within the free cancellation period. They charged me the full amount within one day, but I've been waiting for a refund for 43 days, even though the accommodation said it would take 20 days and I contacted them several times. I see now that this is happening to many people.

We were charged for the reservation 5 days after receiving the free cancellation email from ***********, and they haven't refunded us a month later. The charge was made directly to them through ***********. I've spoken to the owner twice. The first time was on August 15th, and he said he would make the refund the next day after I sent him my bank details. A month later, I called him again, and he said he would sort it out that afternoon. If that's the case tomorrow, I'll post a correction here.

A house with rooms very close to the center of Ceret, ideal for recharging after visiting the town. The room was small but very cute, the pool area was great, the breakfast was lovingly prepared, and the hosts were fantastic. We were traveling with a little one and they made everything easy for us.
