We had 70 birthday party in Lakeside Suite for my sister. Wonderful venue for 50 people we used their buffet service. The buffet was excellent staff really helpful and friendly. Thank you for helping us celebrate with friends and family on this special occasion. Brilliant.

One of the best places I've visited in the area. We had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and really looked after us, ensuring my Nan who is restricted to a wheelchair had a great seat with a view. The food was delicious and the whole site is a really amazing place to spend time with the old buildings and lake. We will back again.

We booked a room for 2 nights there to coinside with an event being hosted in the grounds. The room was very comfortable for us and our 2 dogs. The bathroom was huge with a fab walk-in shower and a slipper bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We invited our local family to join us for dinner and breakfast. The staff were so accommodating with the comings and goings of our large family. The surrounding area was beautiful, for a weekend spent away from home, it was a loverly stay

Visited here for a wedding menu tasting and we were not disappointed. The food is INCREDIBLE! Such great portions, tasty food and great service from all staff who made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we left feeling super excited for our upcoming wedding. Do not hesitate to book a table for lunch/dinner here or look to book your wedding here as Kirsty has filled us with so much confidence. It’s under new ownership but the same high standards apply. Thank you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Haslebury mill once a great place to get together with friends but no more . Being a local guy Ive frequented the mill often , The pond and beer garden being a great centerpiece for any occasion linked to the barn that caters for weddings and other functions . As a local I decided to go and find out costs and availibitly fof a wedding due in August . On arrival we approaced the bar and waited to be served and to speak to someone about the special day . After watching the tumbleweed blow through the bar and a member of staff totally ignore us for a good period of time ,Not even looking in our direction to prompt a reaction we decided to leave and spent the large sum of money we had retained to a more deserving venue . If you like the look of the place its perfect , lovely buildings and surroundings but if you are there just as a casual customer with friends for a drink or to discuss the hire of the barn and pub for a special day forget it !!!! Totally rude staff . I will not be returning !

Used to be a really nice place to visit with lots of interesting cars and caravans around the lot, they’ve changed ownership now and the character is gone, no one cares or acknowledges you if you walk into the bar and their selection of beer on tap is nothing special. No customer care, very little to offer and staff that don’t want you there.

We came here for Christmas Day Lunch a couple of years ago and it was fine - not haute cuisine but the food was very good, the staff lovely and the setting beautiful. This year.... I understand Haselbury Mill has just been sold, but that doesn't excuse the quality of the food. My starter was fine, but I object to paying for rolled turkey: the slices fell into little bits and the 'skin' was certainly not turkey skin, but some sort of coloured fat (had a number stamped on it!). The veggies were okay and a good selection; however, the stuffing was inedible, and the roast potatoes and parsnips needed a steak knife to cut them. Not fancying the other puds on offer, we decided on gingerbread creme brulee - a big mistake! It was horrid. Finally, one of us experienced a 'mud flow' of sludge at the bottom of her coffee cup, but thankfully she didn't have a mouthful of it. The waitress whisked the cup away in disgust. The staff were so hard-working and friendly, the Tithe Barn is a glory and it was beautifully decorated. The food was not dire, as the review below, but left a lot to be desired.

We booked in for our pre-christmas do. The barn is really beautiful. However, the meal was dreadful. This was supposed to be a treat and thank you to our staff for for their hard work, but we all felt let badly let down. Starters were raw in the middle and bland, vegetables over cooked and underseasoned as was the meat and roasties were like bullets and inedible. There was an army of staff walking around with blue bin bags clearing the tables and scraping food from plates right under our noses which was most unpleasant and demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge on basic hygeine. Disgusting experience considering the price we were charged.

Firstly the good points of this stay / visit. This is a very nice setting and would be even better is the spring or summer with decent weather when you could sit outside and even use pub which was not open at this time of the year ! Our booking was made by friends who had to cancel their stay due to illness so it was not our choice but that is not a problem. On check in for our two night stay we asked if the room had a bath as my wife like a bath especially after a long walk which we had done earlier in the day. We were told there was a room available with a bath as the hotel was not full but we would need to pay an EXTRA £25 per night which we though was excessive especially as we were staying for two nights. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food and drinks were very good and tasty and the service could not be faulted. We especially liked the cheese board which we shared and thought was very good value and turned out to be a good choice for flavour and quantity. Breakfast on the first morning was good, well served and my full english was both hot and was served ready plated. So we move onto the second night and morning. As we had eaten here on the first night and the menu had not changed even the specials, so we chose to take dinner elsewhere. However as we had so enjoyed the cheese board on the previous night we thought it would be good on our to return to the hotel to partake of it again. We said we just wanted to order the cheese boaard and were directed to a small table directly adjacent to the bar even though other tables were vacant in the main body of the restaurant. After some delay the cheeseboard was served and was again as previous evening. I decided to take a glass of port to go with my cheese and my wife just wanted coffee. The young guy behind the bar poured my port and as it was the bottom of the bottle could not be bothered to open another bottle but emptied the dregs into my glass and said he would only charge for the one shot instead of the normal double. However on signing for the check I had in fact been charged for the dregs ! My wife had asked for hot milk with her coffee and we saw it was prepared from the machine but deposited on the bar and several waiters kept walking past so in the end my wife got up and fetched it herself. The service supplied by the bar staff and waitress was to say the least very indifferent and dismissive . I got the distinct impression we were treated badly as we had chosen to eat at another establishment and not here ! Breakfast the following morning was served upstairs in the upper part of the pub. This was a self service with a good full selection of items. However it was only just luke warm and the plates were stone cold as there was no plate warmer in site. We were told as was clearly visible that a "bulb" was broken and not working in the unit! Why was it not replaced? So much for customer service !
