Great location and great service. We were welcomed by the owner Freddy. We were able to leave our bags in storage. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast and excellent coffee. Easy to get around and close ri the train station. Would highly recommend staying here

Although the amenities were good, the staff was rude. Check in was delayed by 40 minutes- since we had arrived early, the unnecessary wait after 1:00 was unwarranted, and messed up our schedule for the rest of the day. There is no laundry facility - falsly advertised! Staff rudely informed us about that. The hair dryer in the room did not work. It took 2 hours and multiple requests to get some extra towels after we were drenched in the rain. They did not have any water - hot water for drinking - which is commonly offered in all hotels in Peru. The staff’s rudeness was completely out of character compared to our experiences during the rest of our trip.

This is a very quaint hotel in the heart of the small town of ollantaytambo. Check in was good. Room is adequate and the bathroom is great. Great shower and water pressure. We had a great view. It has lots of sitting areas that are quaint and comfortable.
We were told breakfast was until 9:00am. We thought we would skip it since we hiked a lot the day before. At 9:05 we were called letting us know that they were waiting for us to serve us breakfast. It was a full service as if we were at a restaurant Made our eggs and coffee to order. There was fruit salad, breads, cheese and cild cuts I was very impressed with this. This small detail made my whole stay better. Peruvian people are so friendly and hard working. I would absolutely recommend.

Excellent Hotel. Staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Location, location, location. The hotel itself is near everything you need in Ollantaytambo, ruins, restaurants, markets and the square.

Sol Ollantay is in a great location, close to the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, train station and great places to eat around the square. Derek and Freddie were also very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a great view over the river. Breakfast was included, and there are some nice places to sit and relax inside the hotel. Thank you Derek and Freddie.

Hotel located just steps away from the main square, on the way to the ruins. We are right on the river with a perfect view of the ruin. Room is nice, clean and comfortable. Spent most of time touring, wish we had more time just to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. On the day we left for trekking, they made bagged breakfast for us to eat on the train. Highly recommend Sol Ollantay Exclusive Hotel and recommend using Ollantaytambo as a base for exploring Machu Pichu. Such a charming little town and charm boutique hotel.

Staff was wonderful. Stored luggage in a secure location while roamed town after our stay was completed . Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were beautiful, clean and very short walk to the archeological site. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

I came at this hotel and there was no electricity. The image on ******* of the hotel were misleading. It is a photoshop of the river at couple hundred meters with the restaurant in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is not nice at all. When I came, there was no electricity, they were running on the battery which later stop working. There is no desk in the room, even if they seem to clean, this is so old and ugly that the rooms seems dirty. Do not expect more than a cheap motel for the price of an hotel. The breakfast they gave us was pretty bad. Internet is super slow. Towels are very old. They should invest in this place. I do understand we are in Ollantaytambo, Peru, but still, when they charge almost the price of an hotel in US, you expect something much more.

The gentlemen at the front desk are such nice guys who are really dedicated to customer service. The hotel is also really charmingly beautiful and the patio area is a nice place to relax and just watch the river flow by and admire the ruins. Also, there are many restaurants within walking distance.
