Da Nang Nikko Hotel Guide

The history of Vietnam can be traced back over 4,000 years. Because of its long history and culture, there are many famous sites in the country today. Hue, Hoi An Ancient Town, and Mỹ Sơn are all located in central Vietnam, and the section of the route from Hue to Da Nang has been named one of “the 50 scenic spots that must be visited” by National Geographic. Da Nang is the second largest port city in Vietnam, facing the Tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty in the north and the Hoi An Ancient Town in the south. The beach stretches for 30 kilometers and the weather feels like spring all the time. In the eyes of tourists, Da Nang is a perfect vacation destination that is comparable to Bali and Phuket.

There are direct flights to Da Nang from many Vietnamese cities and Asian countries. There are not many tourist sites in Da Nang, but it is home to beautiful beaches with few tourists. The beach in Da Nang was named one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world by Forbes Magazine. Visitors can rent a beach chair and enjoy a full day of sunshine, beach and sea views. The coastline of Da Nang from Hai Van Pass to Lang Co Bay is also known for its beauty, and visitors who take a bus from Hue to Da Nang will almost certainly pass by it. The surrounding Chàm Islands have crystal clear waters as well. In addition to starfish and all kinds of other fish, a large variety of coral can be seen while snorkeling or diving there. The seafood restaurants on the wharf provide excellent views and delicious food. For visitors planning to relax in Da Nang, three days is usually a sufficient amount of time.

The central region where Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An are located is affected by the Truong Son Ra. The climate is significantly different from that of the north and south, and changes in temperature and precipitation can be drastic. The dry season is from March to September every year. The maximum temperature in August can reach 38-40 °C. The rainy season starts every October and continues until February of the following year, with especially heavy rains in October and November. The rain continues almost every day, and the temperature drops a lot. In addition, the central region is also affected by typhoons from September to December each year. The best travel time in the central region is from February to April when there is less rain and the temperature is relatively low.

The popular hotels in Da Nang are in the My Khe Beach area where there are fine white sand beaches and blue ocean views. There is a variety of food stalls and high-end restaurants nearby and the hotel prices relatively fair. The downtown area of Da Nang is a bustling area and close to the airport. There are many markets and restaurants on both sides of the Han River, and you can walk to the pink Da Nang Cathedral from there. Those who prefer quiet place can visit the area south of My Khe Beach or the Nui Son Tra in the northeast of Da Nang. There are many resorts, but it should be noted that public transportation is lacking in the areas where they are located.
