The Elemis spa was sublime. Wonderful treatment by Ellie, who is a total professional, put me at ease, very knowledgeable and had great results from the factor treatment she gave so expertly! Highly recommended her! Really hope Elemis x Champneys do these treatments in their other resorts ASAP!!!

My friend and I stayed for a couple of days and overall had a lovely time however there are lots of areas of the spa showing wear and tear and looking old and dated. Our room was the same, quite shabby in places although beautifully clean. We both had a facial that we enjoyed very much although our experiences for what should have been the same facial were entirely different? I have to say that the food was fantastic. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner all of which had lots of choice and catered well for my friend who is vegetarian and gluten intolerant. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and helpful too. The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of lovely walks. In the evening we explored the older part of the ground floor of the house and thought it was a shame that there was no facility to sit in the drawing room and have a drink at the bar like there used to be. Over all we had a lovely time.

Booked a twin room as staying with a friend. The twin rooms are double rooms with two mattresses. Our very tired, shabby room in old part of house (stained carpet, water damaged ceiling, rotten window sills/frames) was set up as a double with separate mattresses but no gap between - room too small to even create a gap between the beds. Shocked by standard!

Another visit to Champneys Tring, I looked forward to arrival as the house and setting are wonderful. All in all, I wasn’t disappointed! The team were friendly from the moment we arrived, we were quickly checked in and made our way to our room. We got settled in and went to have a walk around. We met Zoe who was incredibly friendly and spent some time talking to us about our stay. As always, the sauna and steam room were luscious and made for a relaxing time. The weather was good enough to use the outdoor hot tub. We had a really chilled time. We went back to the room and found a couple of things weren’t perfect, we checked in with the reception team and were looked after by Agnes who got things sorted for me. Zoe was nearby and checked if anything else was needed. Both of them were great and we were moved to another room where everything was perfect. The food was great as always (hence the attached pictures!), it arrived quickly and was delicious. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner each day and were not disappointed. At breakfast we met Josh who was cooking up fresh omelettes, he was cheery (despite the time of day!) and remembered us each morning. We had a great stay and will be back again soon.

Champneys Tring is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The food is of exceptional quality, fresh and beautifully prepared, making every meal a real treat. The gardens are stunning and so well kept — walking through them added an extra sense of calm to the whole experience. I also had an excellent facial with Arlyn, who is not only highly skilled but also made the treatment incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. A truly wonderful spa break, very much deserved!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. What really stood out, however, was the excellent service. Agnes at the front desk was especially helpful—she was friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure I had a smooth and enjoyable stay. Her professionalism and kindness made a big difference, and I truly appreciated it.
