My husband and I stayed for 1 night and this was enough to be honest. We stayed in a superior room ( 64) but there was nothing special at all about it. In fact, I've stayed in nicer premier Inn rooms. When we got to the room, we tried to use the safe in our wardrobe but it wouldn't work. We had tye same problem when we last visited champneys ( Springs). The complimentary robes we were both given were very damp. There were no towels anywhere - we walked around for 40 minutes and tried 4 different changing rooms. All the facilities were so busy and crowded, people were standing around queuing / waiting like in a themed park. Not a relaxing atmosphere at all. Lounge beds were all taken but unused as people selfishly claim them with their wet towels then disappear. No mobile phones in some areas but people ignore this. The place is tatty and needs some TLC. I suggest the manager and handyman goes round and makes an extensive list as there are missing letters on rooms, rusty metal, old bits, broken bits and it's generally rough round the edges. Dinner - food was good but many items not available. They no longer give you complimentary bread. We ate lunch in the cafe before we departed. What an embarrassing shambles. Half the menu wasn't available. Tables were dirty and the 2 staff on duty were very flustered and stressed. I ordered a melted brie sandwich and had to send it back twice. My husband ordered a chicken salad and had to send it back once. Many other tables were requesting refunds and complaining also. Louise the staff member couldn't apologise enough and said this is an ongoing issue. I would not return here. Its overpriced and very very badly run. They need to close for a week for refurbishment and run some thorough staff training. What a shame. We've been to champneys over 10 times but we're done now.
