Pi Boutique Hostel

Good hotel with very friendly staff. Recommended to stay. Good breakfast too!

This hostel is new and nicely decorated with some Chinese Antique furnitures. Our room , on the 3 rd floor comes with a small balcony with some nice city view from above since the hostel is located a bit high up from the city centre, which is also mean that is "should be quiet", but,,,,, the owner is building another hotel just exactly in front of the current hostel and the construction begin at " 7 am " every morning till 5pm, which means you cannot sleep after 7am as the noise was so loud as it is exactly in front of you. Dont ever thinking of be back before 5pm to have some relax moment before dinner. Until the construction is over , avoid it. The breakfast mainly cater for western tourist who will complain if only local food are provided. The "Americano " coffee serve to appease to western tourist was the worst coffee i ever tasted in vietnam. The hostel are run by a few very young , friendly and enthusiast staffs, namely , Nhinh and Hoa but not the unfriendly onwer, who will be here most the time but never acknowledge and smile when bumping into you. Certainly not a good experience.

An excellent choice in Dalat. Room was excellent on the higher floor, great light and view. Comfortable and all we needed. Staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delightful and simple. Great coffee available. Easy walking access to Dalat and easy for taxi's to find to help one get around further.

Good points: 1. Location: Close to the city centre but at the same quiet at night. 10 mins walk to the night market. Close to many restaurants and shops. 2. Friendly staff 3. Very clean. 4. Think blanket is provided as Da Lat is pretty cold at night. 5. Every bed gets its own light, two power points and a long shelf. 6. Get a nice view from the balcony. 7. Room is spacious and bed is comfy. 8. Nice design. Bad Points: 1. No separation of shower and toilet. The toilet all turns wet after shower. 2. The rubbish bin in the WC should be cleaned everyday as the toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet bowl. 3. Security : The use of "key" for the elevator is quite stupid for the dorm room. First of all, all of the dorm rooms are not locked and can be easily accessed by the outsiders by using the stairs. So, actually the dorm rooms are not secured at all. But, at the same time, the hostel add a "security system" for the elevator where the key card for the elevator can only access to the ground floor and the floor you lived in. This means you need a "key card" whenever you need to go to your dorm room/go down (but at the same time the dorm rooms are actually not secured) which makes it inconvenience to me . So, I suggest either remove the key card system for the elevator, or add the key card security system directly on the room of the dorm room. 4. The room is very dark at night. 5. It will be great if the they get egg option for their breakfast.
