Atour Stays in Dali City

I was heading to Shaxi the next day, so for easy bus access, I chose Atour, which is not far from the bus station. Bus route 5 takes you straight there. The front desk staff was very welcoming and gave me a complimentary room upgrade. The bedding was up to Atour's usual standard: very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast on weekends goes until 11 AM, which is a really nice touch. They offered Dali's specialty rice noodles (er si) and douhua (tofu pudding), where you could adjust the sweet and savory flavors yourself. There's a shopping mall downstairs, making dining very convenient. It's much better value for money than staying in the old town.

Stayed here during our short Dali trip, had a pleasant room but experience by reception should be better! 😊 During check-in, the front desk seemed quite overwhelmed as another guest was speaking very loudly about issues with their rooms. While I understand these situations happen, it would have been better if it had been handled more discreetly as it created a lot of noise and disruption for other guests trying to check in. The staff member assisting us wasn’t particularly warm, not friendly at all — it seemed she was constantly being interrupted by the situation next to her :( That said, she did explain the hotel facilities clearly, including the laundromat complimentary services, breakfast (not included) and also reminded us about the few steps of stairs leading down to our room,which was helpful👍 As for the room — absolutely fantastic! ✨ Everything felt new, clean, well-maintained. We honestly have nothing to complain about. The highlight of our stay was surprisingly the pillow!!!😍 Both of us were genuinely amazed by how comfortable it was. We later discovered that not all Atour hotels use the same type of pillow :( In fact, after arriving at Kunming Atour later in our trip, quite disappointed as the pillows there were nowhere near the same standard. The customized pillow used at Dali Atour was one of the best hotel pillows we’ve ever experienced 💤 Atour, if you’re reading this, please consider selling these pillows on your platform! They might just be one of the best products your brand offers ❤️ let me know if you do in future! Overall, comfortable stay with a beautiful room and an unforgettable pillow experience above words are by an ex-hotelier ~I do have high standards for hotel services! 🦾

Had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is easy to find, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The room was clean and bright, with a cozy atmosphere, and the bedding was super comfortable. I really enjoyed the book bar in the common area — it had a great vibe. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and tasted delicious. Overall, it was a relaxing and hassle-free experience. Definitely my top choice for travel, and I'll be back again!

This place absolutely deserves five stars; the location is truly unbeatable. Public transport and taxis are readily available right outside the door, and it's super close to all the major attractions and shopping areas – no long detours needed. There's a snack street just 800 meters from the hotel with tons of food stalls and small eateries. Even though it's so convenient, the room itself is surprisingly quiet. It offers both easy access to everything and a good night's sleep. If you're staying in this area, this is definitely the place to pick. I'll be back here next time!

I really like this Atour hotel. The staff's service attitude is excellent. They even offer a laundry service. Our sister arrived late, and they kindly washed and folded our clothes according to our request that evening. The next day, we left in a hurry and accidentally left a phone in the room. We called, and they were very proactive in helping us find it. Special thanks to them!!!
