Dali Fan Chen Sea View Resort Hotel(Erhai store)

Facilities: I absolutely loved the bathroom amenities; they were all Hansgrohe, making the washroom experience incredibly comfortable, just like at home. Cleanliness: It was spotless. Even as someone who's a germaphobe, I was completely satisfied. Before you even used the bathtub, it was sealed with plastic wrap. Staff wore shoe covers when entering the room, and even the drinking cups were individually wrapped in paper, indicating they had been sterilized. So many thoughtful details! Ambiance: I really enjoyed the decor. It wasn't just superficially beautiful; it had a quality aesthetic that perfectly matched the design style. In the evening, grilling by the fire with a gentle breeze created such a unique and pleasant atmosphere. The toiletries were also from a relatively well-known niche brand, and I loved the scent, especially the Aesop hand soap. Service: Six-star rating! The service was incredibly attentive. Afternoon tea was held until the evening and even delivered to my room. The fruit was delicious and came pre-cut. Coffee and beverages were unlimited, and breakfast was also brought to the room, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal while looking at Erhai Lake and breathing in the fresh air. The best part is that the chairs and table were also delivered along with the meal, which was very touching. This kind of meticulous service truly makes you feel at home. It was the only genuinely joyful experience I had in Dali. While the commercial streets felt very touristy and full of schemes, this guesthouse truly brings honor to Dali!

I don't think you'll regret staying at this hotel. The public areas and rooms offer incredible views. Whether it was the first evening, seeing a beam of light pierce through the clouds and illuminate the sea (Figure 7); the 'blue hour' as night fell, with twinkling lights on the opposite shore (Figure 6); or the next morning, as the clouds and mist cleared to reveal the majestic Cangshan mountains and a seamless blend of sea and sky (Figure 8) – we were deeply moved by it all. The hotel service, even for a mountainside property, is top-notch. Staff are responsive, patient, and clearly operate under a well-established service standard. From check-in to check-out, they create a complete service loop, making guests feel right at home. Tips: Lighting the fireplace and then taking a dip in the hot tub on the terrace is pure bliss – definitely something to experience during your stay. The hotel's afternoon tea features delicious flower cakes, and the breakfast rice noodles are excellent! The set menu is very generous and can be delivered to your room.

Absolutely thrilled with this hotel! Perched halfway up the mountain in Wenbi Village, our room offered breathtaking, direct views of Erhai Lake, especially stunning during the 'blue hour' in the evening. The stay included breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner, all of which were incredibly generous and delicious. But what truly stood out was the service – it was impeccable and incredibly responsive. They proactively offered us shawls when they saw we were lightly dressed, and coffee and fruit were promptly delivered to our room whenever requested. The most touching moment was when I accidentally stained my socks while having tea in the tearoom; they immediately went out and bought me a new pair! I was incredibly moved. When we wanted to go for a stroll in the evening, they even drove us in a sightseeing buggy. It was just absolutely wonderful!

This hotel is absolutely perfect, you can tell a lot of thought went into it. I personally think it's great value for money! The staff's service attitude is exceptional!! I'd definitely come back again. And the view, I'd say, is top-notch.

The room was very comfortable, and the hotel lobby offered a stunning view, with the pool seeming to blend seamlessly with Erhai Lake. The staff were all incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to meet every request. Afternoon tea and pastries were delivered daily, and the breakfast menu was varied to avoid repetition. In the evenings, when it got cold, they even lit the fireplace, making us feel completely at home and welcome!

Booking this guesthouse was the absolute best decision of our trip to Dali! We loved the natural, wooden decor, and the views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake were stunning. The food, ambiance, and service were all excellent. It's the perfect place to just relax and unwind. I'll definitely choose Fanchen again on my next visit to Dali!

The afternoon tea with its varied small cakes was excellent! The fruits, juices, and ancient tree black tea were all my favorites! I came to Dali for its reputation, and to Erhai Lake for its renown, but "Fanchen" (Mortal World) is even more worth coming for!
