The Yearn Lake Retreat (Dali Ancient City)

Travelled as a couple amongst a group of friends and the hotel kindly put all our rooms on the same floor despite it being separate bookings. She was very helpful to assist with the luggages and also provided complimentary laundry service! Hotel does not have a bidet though. However location is very convenient in the ancient town and would recommend for that. Photos are deceiving though, no mountain view!

Very friendly host. The host is very helpful with any questions. Room is very clean. I had good sleeps here. There's XiaoDuXiaoDu inside the room. You can just ask it to play music, switch on/off lights or even curtain. Hotel location is good. Nearby to many eateries. Recommended.

Clean rooms and very accommodative service. Great reception with fruits and always ready to provide coffee when requested. Strategic place to the shopping street. Nice roof top seatings.

I highly recommend the place, as the rooms are spacious and the hospitality provided was excellent. The butler brought us to the restaurant they often patronise when I asked for a recommendation and mentioned that I am afraid I will lose my way. The breakfast cooked by the auntie was super yummy and homely. Will be back! P/S: they have 5 beautiful kittens and you might get tiny knocks in the morning 😻

It’s almost perfect for exploring Dali Ancient City. Renmin Road is just steps away, so you’re close to food, shops, attractions. At the same time, the hotel is tucked into a quieter alley so you don’t feel overwhelmed by noise. I like the owners/ staff there, they are very friendly and helpful, they go beyond simple hospitality- always warm greeting, helping with luggage, giving small treats like fruit or rose cakes. Would recommend to the traveller on this!

Staff here were exceptional kind and welcoming. Service is truly great. Welcome fruit is super delicious! Hotel located at a good location near the ancient town but away from the crowd and noise.
