I have to give a huge shout-out to our butler! From check-in to check-out, his attentive service truly moved us. Since we stayed quite a while, he proactively took us to Cangshan Jizhao Temple for delicious vegetarian food, led us on a tour of a thousand-year-old ancient village, and even helped us take many beautiful photos at Liu Yifei's famous check-in spot. The courtyard itself is a designer piece, and its Zen-inspired space is incredibly relaxing. The location is excellent, just 4 km from the ancient city and 3 km from the Sanyuan Island Xindi Cafe. The sunrise breakfast combined with the tea ceremony class was simply perfect!

I had such a comfortable stay that I didn't hesitate to extend it! The room was as clean and cozy as ever, with excellent attention to detail in the housekeeping, and it was tidied up promptly every day. The service was still thoughtful and attentive; the staff were gentle and friendly, making me feel very welcome. The hotel's quiet and comfortable environment, comprehensive facilities, and amazing value for money made me feel safe and relaxed—I didn't want to move anywhere else. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose this hotel first when I come back to the area. It truly deserves high praise and repeat visits!

Situated in a villa complex, the ambiance was wonderfully comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary fireside tea, which was a very cozy and relaxing experience. Our host provided excellent service throughout our stay – highly recommended! My only minor gripe was the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. A bit odd, I thought.

The guesthouse is situated in a villa complex built on a hill, so there are some slopes, which might not be ideal for elderly guests. Our room with a small courtyard was a bit far from the front desk, about an 8-9 minute walk. However, enjoying tea in the courtyard was very pleasant. Considering the price, there's really nothing to complain about.

The hotel is very quiet, and from the room, you can enjoy distant views of Erhai Lake. The breakfast was exquisite, and we had a very comfortable stay. It's ideal for those traveling by car, with parking available in the villa area.

This is my first time writing a negative review, and here are my reasons: 1. We were told there were activities like fireside tea brewing and pour-over coffee, but it turns out you need to book them a day in advance. The host, however, didn't mention this at all when they called us the day before, almost as if they preferred we didn't know so they wouldn't have to deliver. 2. The B&B is situated inside a gated villa community with two security checkpoints. It's quite far from the community entrance, making it very inconvenient to get taxis both when leaving and returning. 3. There are absolutely no restaurants or supermarkets in the vicinity. The only thing somewhat close is the Gantong Cableway. Gaode Maps shows it's 2.2 kilometers away with an estimated 45-minute walk, entirely uphill. 4. Apart from check-in, the front desk was unattended, and we didn't see any staff members until we checked out. We couldn't even find anyone to ask for directions to the laundry room. 5. The room had a pervasive musty smell that didn't go away even after airing it out all afternoon. Overall cleanliness was mediocre; the bathroom had an unpleasant odor, with mold spots in the corners. The soundproofing was also poor. 6. We were not informed about breakfast serving times. When we checked out at 7:30 AM – which I don't consider particularly early – there was no one around, and the kitchen showed no signs of activity. As we had a train to catch, we ended up leaving without breakfast.

The room was clean and well-equipped, and the location was excellent. The butler service was enthusiastic, and it offered great value for money. Highly recommended to everyone!

The windows in the room offer a fantastic view overlooking Erhai Lake, and from the courtyard's balcony, you can enjoy views of Cangshan Mountain and the Gantong Cableway. It's about a 30-minute walk to the cableway, and during peak season, walking directly up the mountain from here can actually be faster than taking a vehicle. The housekeeper meticulously cleans the room every day. The guesthouse itself is very peaceful and quiet. For dining, there are convenient options nearby: you can walk to the North Gate in about ten minutes, or to the commercial street near the Hilton in about 15-20 minutes. We would definitely stay at this guesthouse again on our next visit.
