The hotel is located just inside Bo'ai Gate of Dali Ancient City. You can explore the ancient city right outside, yet it's peaceful and quiet inside the rooms despite the bustling crowds outside. I really enjoyed the hotel's welcome tea; I'd have a cup before going out and another when returning to the room. Highly recommended.

This hotel is super close to the South Gate of Dali Old Town, making it really convenient for getting around and visiting all the popular attractions nearby. The service was great – the staff proactively contacted me to help with my luggage since the cobbled streets aren't ideal for rolling suitcases. The interior environment is beautiful, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. It's an older property, so some of the facilities are a bit dated. If you're looking to explore the Old Town, this place is definitely worth considering; you can just stroll back to the hotel to relax after a day of sightseeing.

This hotel in Dali is incredibly comfortable! They upgraded our family room, which was perfect for the four of us (my parents, brother, and me), giving us so much more space. It has a large courtyard where it's lovely to sit under the maple trees. Plus, it's close to the Bo'ai Gate of the old town, making it convenient to get everywhere. Gary Lou, the staff member who helped us with our luggage when we arrived and when we left, was fantastic. We saw him almost every day, and he was always patient and helped us with any issues we had – it felt like fate! It’s truly special to meet such helpful people while traveling.

Not bad. It's very convenient for getting to the Old Town, and breakfast was included. Just a heads-up, there's a step in the breakfast area that's easy to miss, so watch your footing.

The environment is superb, a quiet oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It's a standalone property with its own courtyard, right near the entrance of the scenic area. The only slight inconvenience is that ride-sharing services can't drop you directly at the door, so there's a bit of a walk. The service was excellent, with a dedicated butler who was incredibly responsive to all our requests. Perhaps because it's been open for a while, some of the facilities could use an upgrade. The LCD TV is quite old and small, and the mirror light isn't touch-sensitive. It would be great if the toilet had an automatic sensor and a heated seat.

The location is fantastic, perfect for exploring the ancient city's eateries and shops at night. If you're an early riser, you can even enjoy a quiet stroll before the crowds arrive. The hotel itself is a hidden gem – it's right in the bustling area but still incredibly peaceful, which is great! Our housekeeper, Sally Penny, was wonderful. She was always quick to help with any requests, truly thoughtful and hardworking!

Overall, great value for money. The design is beautiful, and the small garden is lovely. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Facilities are complete and convenient. The hygiene is excellent, with timely cleaning. The service is thoughtful and perfect. The location is superb, right in the ancient city.
