Cloud Country - Yi Xianju (Dali Ancient City Store)

The room was very large and spacious, and the hotel breakfast was delicious. The service was excellent; both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were incredibly warm and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. I'm very satisfied! (๑•ᴗ•๑)♡

The hotel staff were really enthusiastic; they helped with our luggage, arranged transportation for our outings, and the young men and women responded incredibly promptly—you could tell they were very dedicated. They even sent someone to pick us up from the station. Every single staff member deserves high praise. However, I do have to complain about a few things. The hotel is quite a distance from the ancient city, making it a long walk. Also, while a hotel can be old, it shouldn't be rundown. For a suite costing nearly 700 yuan a night, the owner should really maintain the environment better. The toilet had a strong odor, the curtains were broken, and the bathroom cabinet was moldy. We were simply too lazy to move hotels to avoid wasting our travel time, but I genuinely think it needs a renovation.

We chose this B&B because we have a dog, and the dog is really friendly, letting the kids pet him freely. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the staff were kind and had excellent service. The bathroom sink was a bit old; a slight improvement there would make it even better.

The room was very satisfying. It's a beautiful little courtyard, clean and tidy. The service was also excellent; any issues or needs were promptly addressed.

The B&B is easy to find, has a great atmosphere, and even offers a shuttle service, which is a very thoughtful touch.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a 4-5 minute walk to the South Gate of the Ancient City, making it super convenient for visiting all the attractions. Plus, there's a bustling food street right outside the hotel entrance. What's more, you can catch a glimpse of Cangshan Mountain every day just by opening your room door, and the courtyard downstairs is incredibly picturesque, perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, with wonderfully comfortable bedding. The hotel service is truly top-notch; they even went the extra mile to include a hair tie in the complimentary toiletry kit. And the front desk staff, especially the ladies, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

What a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem of a guesthouse right at the foot of Cangshan Mountain! I was absolutely delighted. First and foremost, the service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and sensed the utmost sincerity. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive; they answered all our questions, proactively helped with our luggage, and even offered great recommendations for local attractions and activities. They treated us like old friends, making our stay incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The cleanliness was absolutely top-notch. Our room was spotless, every corner meticulously cleaned, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. We felt completely at ease staying here. My favorite part, however, was their garden – it's truly a dream! The flowers and plants were immaculately trimmed, and from the courtyard, you can enjoy stunning views of Cangshan Mountain. Basking in the sun with a cup of tea, you can instantly feel the pace of life slow down. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay at the foot of Cangshan Mountain.

The environment was excellent, and our suite was very comfortable. The owner was incredibly friendly and even helped us with our luggage. The coffee shop in the courtyard is a nice touch. Its location is also extremely convenient, just a 2-minute walk to both the Old City and South Gate Market.
