Bayshore Hotel

The hotel is right by the sea, and you can even see the cross-sea bridge. The room was spacious and clean. When checking in, they said it wasn't a sea-view room, but the window was large with a good view, offering both city and sea views, which was quite nice. The breakfast was also tasty with a good variety. There's also a kids' play area on the first floor for younger children to enjoy for a while. We needed an extra blanket after 10 PM, and even though it was late, they still brought a blanket for a child. Special thanks to Ms. Lin for her warm service.

Before coming, I saw a lot of negative reviews, but my hotel experience was actually excellent and well worth the money. They offer free afternoon tea, and the breakfast is very kid-friendly. The breakfast on the 25th floor was exceptionally well-organized and diverse. Plus, there's a shuttle bus to the airport, which made for a perfect end to our summer vacation. I especially want to mention the hotel's fantastic location – it's just a few minutes' walk to Xinghai Beach.

The hotel has a great location. We booked a sea-view twin room facing the yacht harbor, right next to Xinghai Park, Xinghai Square, Sun Asia Ocean World, and an amusement park, all within walking distance. The hotel lobby is luxurious, and there are both Chinese and Western restaurants, making dining convenient.

The air conditioner started rattling loudly in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. The curtains also didn't close properly, so I couldn't even catch up on sleep in the morning. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had at a 'luxury' hotel. It's unbelievable that a room costing over 900 a night could be like this.

The room was comfortable. It was great to take a shower after swimming in the sea, and the air conditioning was powerful and refreshing. Afternoon tea was perfect, and dinner was rich and delicious.

We brought our child to Dalian this time, and staying at the Xinghai Holiday Hotel was definitely the right choice! The hotel's location is superb, with the Cross-Sea Bridge and Xinghai Square right outside our window. My child would eagerly press their face against the window every morning to watch the sea. What truly touched us was the duty manager, Manager Ning. Upon learning we were traveling with our 7-year-old son, Manager Ning specially upgraded us to a higher-floor sea-view room, offering an even more expansive view. They even thoughtfully provided children's toothbrushes and slippers. Throughout our stay, Manager Ning would always crouch down to chat with my child whenever we met, asking if they were having fun – truly approachable and friendly. The hotel was clean, and the staff were all very welcoming. This experience made our whole family feel warm and cared for. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Dalian! Extremely poor experience. The only upside is its proximity to the beach and walking distance to Sun Asia Ocean World. However, the downsides are too numerous: the room type is outdated, the curtains and shower curtain were unusable, the shower button was clunky, and the drain overflowed. They wouldn't even allow an extra bed for my child, despite there being enough space in a standard room. There's no waiting area in the lobby. The overall experience was terrible. I do not recommend it.

This hotel is right by the sea, and the location is truly excellent. The ocean is literally at your doorstep, and you can walk a few steps to a swimming beach. The room was very spacious too. We stayed for four days, and the front desk even upgraded us to an executive suite. The breakfast was also good, with Dalian sea prawns and delicious cold dishes. The only downside was the elevators. The system assigns which elevator you take, and first-time visitors have no idea how it works. This often leads to a lot of people getting stuck downstairs, and almost everyone complains about it. I hope the hotel can improve this.

This hotel opened in the 80s, and the facilities are incredibly run-down. Don't be fooled by the 'renovated in 2021' claim – nothing was actually fixed. The elevators are a nightmare to wait for, and there are huge gaps in the curtains that let in all the light. The sea view is barely worth one star. Avoid this place at all costs!
