Nice stay, food is available for morning, lunch, dinner
extra activities:
- go kart
- horse riding
- dancing and singing from locals during lunch/dinner
a performance show available close to here, the owner can sell you the tickets for 140 instead of 280 from the ticket office.
sometimes you don’t have warm water, so it might be a bit difficult during winter.

Beautiful resort in the Xilamuren grasslands, with a mix of traditional yurts and unique modern-styled accommodations. I stayed in both types of accommodation and both were very comfortable. Full length windows offer views of the expansive grasslands in the day, while the yurts also have a unique skyroof design for stargazing on clearer nights.
Breakfast was quite simple local fare, mainly porridge with sides like pickles and egg, very filling. Lunch and dinner is not inclusive but there is a large menu that you can order from. The resort also has its own bar! I believe it is open nightly during the peak season of July/August, and depending on guest volumes at other times.
The boss Mr Da and his staff were so welcoming and kind. I travelled solo, and they added me on WeChat so that I could easily reach them if I had any questions or needs. Boss Da also very kindly took me to a few local sights and spots, since I did not have my own means of transport (感谢达老板!). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the resort. If I were to visit Xilamuren again, Xilamuren Grassland Mongolian Holy Land Resort would definitely be my accommodation of choice.

A family of three chose a three-bedroom, one-living room house for comfort. The bed in the starry sky room was the most popular. The loft was fun, a little stuffy during the day and a little cold at night. The restaurant in the resort was delicious, especially the braised beef and shabu-shabu mutton. The breakfast was also good. It was not bad on the grassland. There was horseback riding, but it was a little expensive. We rode it once and then went to ride somewhere else.

My dears, I must strongly recommend you the experience of living in a yurt! As soon as I arrived, I was attracted by the round yurt. It felt like a small house in a fairy tale, cute and mysterious.
After entering, it was very spacious and warmly decorated. The ethnic ornaments hanging on the wall seemed to have an interesting story in every one. In the evening, we also had a bonfire party outside the yurt. Everyone held hands and sang and danced. It was so lively!
Sleeping in a yurt is like being gently embraced by nature. When I opened my eyes in the morning, the sun shone on my face through the skylight. Wow, it felt so wonderful.
